Send your info to ASMIC - The American Society of Military Insignia collectors. The following is from their web page at http://www.asmic.org/nonmemberhome.htm

Unlimited use of the Insignia Identification is available only to ASMIC members, however, if you would like ASMIC to identify an insignia for you, please send an email including a description and a scan or digital photo (jpeg format preferred) of the insignia, along with any pertinent details to adjutant@asmic.org, Please include your email address in the body of the email, as well as a phone number, should we have questions.

Pertinent details can include, if found on a uniform, other insignia on that uniform, or if a ribbon or medal, other medals in the group. Any information will help.

Identifications will normally be returned within three business days, however, if we need to query our membership, identification can take significantly longer. In that case, you will be notified of the status of your request.

You may of had better luck looking for this item back in the 1960's as that's when I picked up some of my best WWI collectables. Now, most items of this nature are in the museums or private collections. Good luck though...who knows, maybe a private collector will part with one...for a price.
