Military - October 2006

With the Cheif of Army staff saying that we must "pull out of Iraq soon" and that our presence there is simply exacerbating the situation both here in the UK and over there, what exactly are we doing there now? Its clear to anyone to see that the local people don't want us there. Each day we are being attacked in Iraq and Afghanistan and our troops are putting there lives at risk. Surely the average Iraqi was better off in the past then after the invasion. Isn't the leader of our army correct?

Why is it, that if you do not believe in the war, most people think you do not support our troops? I want every single one of our soldiers that have been sent over there to come home safely, I wish they never went in the first place. The war, in my opinion, was and is unnecessary. Can someone explain why me hating the war means I hate our young men and women of the military?

Do they not remind you of a school bully who always attacks chilren who are smaller than them? Also the widow of a journalist murdered in Iraq has labelled the US soldiers "trigger happy cowboy, do you agree with that.

I came back with the american Civil war but that doesn't count as america was fighting it self so it won and lost, secondly I came back with the Americas agains us (the Brits) when you kicked us out but he came back with a valid point you wern't Americans then you were a mixture of spanish, Irish, french..... Any answers to this would be good just so sadly i can win this argument.

he was set to graduate, then he found out his foot was fractured. they told him that if he passed off his 10 mile march he could graduate. he had the march, but i dont know if he finished, and havent heard from him(i know phone time is scarce!). is there a list online somewhere that lists the men graduating?

today at formation i was told my hair cut was eccentric, that i would find the article pretaining to usmc hair regulations and read it infront of the entire battery on monday as well as get a hair cut before securing to liberty now that being said my hair is 2.7 inches in length on the top with a high fade. so far all i've found is MARINE CORPS ORDER P1020.34G W/CH 1-4 and it is not clearly stated in any means other than 3 inches on top and the 0 to 3 fade so could someone please inlighten me as to whom is allowed to deam a hair cut eccentric now my hair fits under my cover and cevlar and why i would have to cut my hair when it is in reg.

What are your thoughts on this question: Mexico's economy is dependent on illegal immigration to the U.S. of its citizens. Estimated 1/3 of the Mexican economy is supported by illegal immigrants sending cash back home once they work in the U.S. The U.S. is proposing radical immigration changes and perhaps even a fence. If the U.S. were to stop illegal immigration from its southern border, could Mexico become a fiend? I'm in spain on the Costa Blanca, its 10.15am, i am trying to get my lazy daughter out of bed cos she has been up all night on the computer.
Today i am going shopping to fill my fridge up with ton's of beer because loads of my family and friends are coming from England to get pis*sed for a solid week.
