Unlawfully killed? Think what you might of the Americans however they were in a combat situation. No vehicles marked and under fire. What would you do? Personally I think that unfortunately they were right. Take no risks, deal with the unknown as if it were an enemy. Road side bombs, suicide bombers, no easy choices!

I am looking for comments, especially from the Japanese, about their military, as I feel that Japan could be a major force in the UN and in maintaining stability in the Pacific. As an ex serviceman (Royal Navy), I admire the Japanese Forces. World War 2 is now sixty years ago, and the excesses of all sides should be consigned to the history books. One question I do ask, is, have the Japanese raised any memorial to Rear Admiral Raizo Tanaka, of the famed "Tokyo Express" (Us matelots know and salute good matelots from the other side). If not, they should do so. He was a brilliant Admiral, and tactitian.

I've always wanted to be a sniper for the Marines, but I don't know much about it at all. Anyone have any information about it for me? Like requirements educationally, and physically. And anything else that I should know or you think would be helpful.

I know this has been asked before but in view of recent murders by you know who and the top military advisor in the UK is it time to bring our forces home and leave our cousins to finish what they started. At least it would save our lads and lassies from being killed by both sides, so called friends and others all I want is for them all to come home safe God Bless em all.

I have watched Sir DANNET and his comments and he seems a good guy. A straight talker who calls a spade a spade.
Finally someone at the top has voiced concerns, and stood up for the British Army and our soldiers.

Was he correct on voicing his opinion and going over Tony Blairs head? What are the ramifications of this here and in USA?

"The death toll among Iraqis as a result of the US-led invasion has now reached an estimated 655,000, a study in the Lancet medical journal reports today.

The figure for the number of deaths attributable to the conflict - which amounts to around 2.5% of the population - is at odds with figures cited by the US and UK governments and will cause a storm, but the Lancet says the work, from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Baltimore, has been examined and validated by four separate independent experts who all urged publication.

In October 2004, the same researchers published a study estimating that 100,000 Iraqis had died as a result of the war since the beginning of the March 2003 invasion, a figure that was hugely controversial. Their new study, they say, reaffirms the accuracy of their survey of two years ago and moves it on." - Sarah Boseley

G. Bush disagrees with this figure, what do you think?
