Without the sacrafice of men, we can not even grasp the freedoms they are protecting. Appreciate those who die, honor their lives, do not criticize their death. There are truely evil people out there who relish in death, kill innocent people in shopping centers and churches and mosques. People are dying trying to stop these people from comitting more harm. If no one stands up to them, we all suffer loss. This happened on 9/11, in Madrid in their train bombings, every hijacked airplane, in russian schools, and many more places around the world.

How dare you disrespect those dead military members. Whether you want to believe it or not, they died protecting your sorry butt. They died so you could use them to try to pass your point of view across. Since we've been at war, there's been no more attacks on American soil. If we didn't invade and were attacked again, were you going to protect yourself?? I doubt it. It's too easy for you to hide behind a computer and use the dead. Show them some honor and respect. You posting in this way is just sick. Fortunately for you, there's men like my husband and many many others protecting your rights and freedoms.

The only thing I "smell" is you.

EDIT: If you're not from America, then you definitely have NO right posting something like this. You're a sick person and I'm sure will one day get what you deserve (in the end).

Thank God for the men who lay down their lives so that people like you and I can sit here and give our opinions open and with out threat of retaliation. There has been free democratic elections in a country that did not have them before. Thousands of men died over a much longer period of time for the same thing in a country that had just broken away from a monarchy 200+ years ago, and today that country has given the same gift to another in less than 3 years. So as you hack away at your keyboard in protest say a little thank you to the men and women that make it possible.

Thank GOD you're not from America. I'd be completely embarassed to call myself an American if you were.

Something tells me you would run away crying if you had to get into a real debate about the real issues. Way to hide behind Yahoo -- what have YOU ever done to protect freedom?? Maybe you should figure that you before you dishonor those who do.

Don't you dare use my son's death to promote your agenda!!! I don't agree with the war but we started it, now it's time to finish it, lest we disrespect ALL who died!!! The problem is that we have a bunch of mental midgets running the affair. People who are so self absorbed that they won't listen the boots on the ground. Change the administration and then get the job DONE!!!! It took an Administration change to end the Viet Nam war and I think that is what is needed this time too! I may not agree with what you say, but I'll lay down my life for your right to say it.

Smell the coffins? No. I salute the coffins and mourn the dead, though. But I know that they died doing their jobs, and that they knew that freedom isn't free.

I work with TAPS, the Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors, an organization for people who have lost a loved one in active duty military service, and I will tell you that the people left behind are proud of their loved ones, and are not bitter against our government.

Don't make this about politics. It is about mourning the dead.

Is the horror of war as horrible as the horror of the holocaust or the Vietnam POW camps, or the Korean POW camps, or the Japanese or German POW camps?
Do you smell the rotting flesh from these places? Can you smell the rotting flesh of all the victims of the Viet Cong in South Vietnam and Cambodia? How about all the victims of Saddam Hussein? Comprendo?
