What particularly kind of guys are they looking for to go to BUDs? And any other special ops unit. I hear that RECON marines are chosen for the job, they dont get to chose, so which guys get "chosed"?

I know 2 former seals, both gentlemen are low key, very intelligent and exceptional in their professions. They really do not discuss their experiences in seals much except to say that endurance, stamina and focus were important for them.

Besides the obvious of being in top physical shape, you must be able to think fast and with the utmost precision.
No disrespect intended, but you have got to want this job more than sex. Many train their whole enlistment time for missions that will never be carried out.

You are not chosen or asked. Joining the U.S. Navy Seals is strictly voluntary. There are just short of 3000 Seals out there.

start training now they want the best of the best. only 1% of the guys who try for it get it, that means 99% get washed out, so if you do not make do not feel bad. everyone who tries is a hero anyway. good luck to you and even if you make special forces you will a very important piece of our national defense.
