You obviously did not hear that question presented to President Bush 15 different ways by the press on Wednesday morning. I will answer your question just like the President answered it each and every time it was presented to him.
We are still attempting diplomacy with North Korea. We attempted diplomacy with Iraq, and it didn't work. Once it is determined that there is no chance of a diplomatic solution, then and only then will the US consider military action. Diplomacy is handled differently with different countries. Each situation is handled individually. Everyone seems to forget how long the US attempted to settle the problems in Iraq diplomaticly. Congress yelled, "Let's go to war" and so we did. Now you can't get any of the bleeding heart liberals to admit they voted YES for the invasion. But look at their records. Let's give diplomacy a chance. That's what everyone criticizes about Iraq, saying there wasn't enough. Now, why does everyone think this is too much?
And as for one person's comment about China. China is telling North Korea to disarm just as loudly as we are. China is on OUR side with this one.

We knew for sure that Iraq didn't have any weapon of mass destruction or nuclear capabilities but they have lot of oil that's why we invaded Iraq. And about North Korea, we know for sure that they have weapons of mass destruction or Nuclear war heads but no Oil, that's why we are not attacking North korea. The other reason is, if we attack North Korea , unlike Iraq they might use the nuclear war heads on us.

Iraq was invaded due to suspected possession of nuclear weapons which was tested by North Korea but was not yet invaded. There is inequity in the application of the laws.

We invaded Iraq because they have oil fields and we are not attacking North Korea because they don't have any oil field which we can use for our own benefit. We knew Iraq doesn't have any "weapon of mass destruction" and we know for sure North Korean have "weapon of mass destruction"The other reason is , we knew we could defeat Iraq ,on the other hand it will be darn hard to defeat the north Korean because of their nuclear capabilities.

Because China would nuke the heck out of us. China wants N Korea to have nukes as to create instability. Once war breaks out, all China has to do is sweep up. Then they annex countless countries. Remember the Korean war? China got involved and it came to a stand still. It is a global chess game, one wrong move and it's all over. Except everyone is rooting for the wrong players any more.

Because there are other options on the table, and North Korea does not have known ties with terrorists (Saddam did despite what the leftist media misreports on the issue).
The size of their army wouldn't matter. The country of North Korea is in absolute disarray. Saddam supposedly had a formidable army...that took us a whole 3 days to destroy.

because the war is total bull and there is no reason for it and the government knows it but they have to find away to get George Jr to stop fighting his daddy's war and worry about the real threats to us not the made up hoaxes, go to my page http://myspace.com/jeremysmom05 and watch the video on it called loose change and you'll see what i mean about made up threats! its long so you don't have to watch the whole thing but at least watch the first 5-10 mins of it. Don't get me wrong i love the troops that are over there i have many family members and friends over there i just don't believe in this war. That's why the UK head is talking about pulling their troops out!

...we should let Japan do some good for the first time in thier nations history of conflict. I would agree with that.
But I dont know if the South Koreans (who kicked thier asses out 2 or 3 times already) would be happy to see the japs come back to their shores yet again.
