This is kind of a rant...but here I go....I don't understand why people got so behind the soldiers once the "War on Terror" started?!? I spent the first 17 years of my life outside of the United States while my dad served our country. I had a great time and I'm not complaining about that but no one seemed to care before the war...I never saw "Support the Troops" bumper stickers. While I understand being stationed overseas isn't the same as being deployed to a war zone...it's just as hard. My parents grew up in the same town their whole lives and then spent 20 years away from our families and friends! Didn't people think that was important! The military is needed in other places besides the US and Iraq. I don't know if people just don't know that people go overseas to places other then Iraq or if they just don't care???

OK here is the deal the waiver is for a criminal check. Im in touch w/his recruiter so I know whats going on. He keeps putting me off as well. I've called 3x 2day and eachtime he said.. Now is not good for me. His recruiter promised he get in like last month. Thats just an update 4 u guys.
My Fiance is trying to get into the ARMY and his recruiter keeps giving him the run around. He took his ASVAB the real one and scored 73 took the Physical and passed. He did that this month and started trying to get in in the early part of May end of April. His recruiter said he needed a waiver and sent in for one in the begining of June he still says he hasnt gotten it all cleared yet even though my Fiance had a meeting with his reruiter's commander. What can we do this will be really good for him. Plus it shows me that he cares about something and wants to succed. I would join however I have back and ankle problems on top of my Asthma. :(.... Any suggestions? For him getting in the Army sooner?

How low standards do you have to be to claim you won a war by simply not dieing? Isreal reduced nearly the entire country to dust and rubble. Killed hundreds of terrorists and they claim victory for simply not dieing. Its like a joke being so deseperate to fight a war you started then claim you won when you didn't.
