iraq

I've been shocked lately by soldiers who have been to iraq and they say it's not that bad, some even say they like it and wanna go back. Has any of you heard this?

In the news, all they talk about is the violence, and i talk to a soldier and they say it's not that bad, they say the worst part is the weather. Any other troops who feel this way?

John Kerry risked his life in Vietnam, served bravely and honoraboy, and was even shot. Yet there are people who spread lies about his brave service for his country. I think it's outrageous that our brave soldiers are slandered. What do you think?

It really boggles the mind. It's beyond belief.

All the great generals have said Rumsfeld has no idea what he's doing. Yet Bush keeps him on.

Smart Democrats don't even have to come out against the war, all they have to do is agree with all the retiring generals who declare Rumsfeld an incompetent moron.

This is the key point: Is Bush more loyal to an incompetent Rumsfeld than he is concerned about the lives of our children in Iraq?

Bush's supporters should be defeated (in the elections) to keep an idiot in charge of the lives of our children in Iraq. Or am I wrong?

Don't you think the international community should force Israel to make a major contribution towardsLebanon's rebuilding and reconstruction costs? This might encourage them israelis to find less agressive means for resolving conflicts in future, and with minimum impact on innocent people.
Keep in mind, hezbola is a small part of the lebanese population, what israel did to the majority of the population in lebanon is very inhumane.

am i crazy or what im in high school and i dont often watch the news but the rhetoric coming from the govt is making me mad, first off im not for supporting radical extremists but if iran used nuclear weapons on isreal or even if isreal used the same on them they would kill each other because there is only 500 miles of distance between baghdad and isreal and even less between tehran and isreal the radiation would be to intense to with stand for anyone.

i feel like politicians are liars, yeah i know movies say it but i really think now more than ever that the bush administration is full of **** especially rumsfeld they said iraq had weapons of mass distruction and that there was a clear link to the alkada or what ever hell group they are it is all bull ****... i say the hijackers came from saudi arabia and from bin laden who is still at large making more threats..

my question is would you join the military any branch after knowing what you know?

Why do people consider Nuclear Weapons to be weapons of mass destruction? All they do is sit in their hangars getting rusty. All the while, guns and knives take down hundreds of people across the globe every single day.
For me, the smaller everyday weapons are the real WMD's because their death toll far outnumbers that of nuclear weapons and i dont personlly think a nuclear weapon will ever be fired again.
what are your opinions?

If they come back, they'd get citizenship.

We'd be killing two birds with one stone, and saving valuable American lives.

You vote republican and support this man who made sure he never saw any combat when he was in the military and then when you keep getting called up to back to Iraq 2,3, or more times, you complain about going. None of you were drafted, this is an all volunteer military and I always see you people stomping and cheering for George Bush whenever he is speaking to the military. This is exactly what you voted for. The continuation of the war and the support of George W. Bush's policies on the war. Then when you are asked to keep doing your job, which is to protect the United States, you complain. Why do you keep supporting this guy. I do see that most Iraqi veterans that run for political office are running as Democrats. Why's that? Do the people in the military get smarter after they get out. By the way I am a Viet Nam veteran that served with the First Cavalry Division in Viet Nam, under the command of George Casey, the father of your present commander in Iraq, George Casey, Jr.

I got this friend (single child) and he went to military recently, his father died and his grandma and mom are all alone now (no other siblings, family), they need emotional support and financial. I mean how long will the grandma live and the mother of the soldier doesn't even speak english, how will she live once the grandma passes away. Is there way to get the solider out of the military, without dishonorable discharge? Please I really need to get my friend out of the army, his family needs him.

Lets compare the two countries.

UNITED STATES: A country that was basically created and built on corruption. Also has gone to war supposedly for "WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION." Have they found them yet? How many innocent Iraqi civillians and American soilders will get killed in september?

ISREAL: A country that has been attacked and attacked again and again since the times of the Roman Empire. They may be hated like the United States, but this is because of their middle eastern wealth. Isreal only has defended its people from harm. THE UNITED STATES WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME THING. People were being held captive! It would be foolish NOT to be militant if a country saw constant attacks from other nations. Isreal has been attacked from the outside almost on a daily basis!
