My feeling has been that oil prices have been driven by speculation and fears in the Middle East. As the market becomes desensitized to violence in the Middle East and investors begin to realize the true relationship between oil supply and its demand, will the market efficiently reflect this truth?

Everytime I see something on TV, or in the news, about soldiers being shipped off to go fight in Iraq, at least half of them always say something like "I'm so proud to be defending our freedom."

Can somebody please tell me, WHAT THE HELL IS OUR FREEDOM DOING IN IRAQ?! AND HOW DID IT GET HALFWAY AROUND THE WORLD IN THE FIRSTPLACE??

I mean, this has got to be obvious propaganda, right? Or are there people out there who seriously, genuinely believe this garbage?

Could it be that the restaurant is owned by Arabs and they were nice to this Marine? The pretty waitress is Arab and she walked up to him and said "HI". That's when it happened. The Marine went to his knees and yelled out for all to hear "Oh My Dear God in Heaven!! We are so wrong to be in Iraq hurting those nice Arab people!! Please forgive me"!! and with that the Marine cried a river right there on the floor. The pretty Arab waitress put her gentle hand on his back and said she forgave him but this made the Marine cry that much harder. The Marines at Selfridge ANG Base were called in to pick up their crying buddy. I tell you people it was a sight to see a big bad Marine crying his eyes out because of what President Bush did to the USA. ( Note:..This happened at Mt Clemens Michigan early this morning )

He's smart enough to go to college but he had to go into the Marines on July 25th and now he has to deal with those narrow minded jar heads. Now what would make him do a silly thing like that? He writes me and tells me we must fight in Iraq because the Iraqi people are going to destroy the USA. LOL!!! Can you believe someone in my family could be so stupid? Iraq did not do 9-11 and he thinks Iraq is a threat. I'm so ashamed.

Is there anything wrong with this picture?

Seems like there's a big gap between loving thy enemy, and killing thy enemy.

Is there anyone out there in Yahoo! answers land that is pro military and pro Christian teachings, that can help me understand this? Thanks

11 soldiers killed over the last 3 days and 62 shot. Just 4 days ago the USA Government stated we are making progress and the insurgents are getting weak. But look what happened. The USA got a butt beating over the weekend and the shame is starting to grow.

Why aren't women?
How can the government force such a thing?
'Land of the free?'

I walked into a post officer yesterday and they had a big notice stating that if your a guy about to turn 18, you have to register.

It made me feel sick inside.

Maybe it ought to be the people who think we should go to war, who are the ones who actually go there and do the fighting?

All are welcome to answer this, but would especially like to here from young men around this age.

(I'm a 46 year old female)

why don't y'all see if the question has been asked before? 50 times a day there is a post asking if you like bush or if we should be fighting in iraq.

I recently answered a question about the bombing in Lebanon and said that the Hez(sp) had some of their missile launchers in residential areas (which is true). Well one person wrote me and said "No They Didn't!" and then went on all about how the Israelis are cowards and so forth and that the Hez(sp) are going to free their land. You know, everything was just fine until the Hezbolla decided to kidnap two Israeli soldiers. The Hamas even said that they recognize Israel as a legitamate state. Israel was pulling their people out of the Gaza and West Bank. They were on their way to peace. Lebenon wasn't even an issue until the Hezbolla started their crap.

It was on news in America like 2-3 months ago bout a bunch of iraqi civillians killed a bunch of men, women, and children because they were "leaking secrets to Osama" or something. This is exactly what usa did in veitnam. they enjoy butchering innocent people. I believe they did and I believe Bush and our department of homeland security is covering it up.

Although I know it does no good to really say anything about changing our military rules of engagement here, how many people believe like I do that they are completely out of touch with the war our soldiers are fighting? I mean if our soldiers sittinf around waiting for the "right time" to fire at enemies then how can we expect anything less than more black bags coming back to the States. Take the handcuffs off our troops and let them kick *** so they can come home.
