Southern Lebanon would have been controlled again by Israelis...And they would have attacked Syria ,then Iran,as planned...

Israel got the best of that deal! Hezbollah is sitting back and licking its wounds, and very, very reluctant to start up again with Israel. Hezbollah's so called, religious leader has acknowledged surprise over Israel's reaction to the arab atrocities of crossing into Israel and killing & kidnapping it's soldiers.

I believe that Hezbollah will think twice before they attempt a stupid move like that again. I believe too, the next time, Israel will be more than ready for them.

Had Israel won, they would have chased the remaining hezbollah fanatics back to Syria. Israel would have stopped at the Syrian border. Chances are, after mopping up, they would simply return to Israel. They aren't interested in any of Lebanon's land, therefore, they would have simply gone home.

The only way that Hezbollah won anything was by continuing to survive. If the UN and Lebanon hold up their end of the truce, Hezbollah will cease to exist as a militant force. If they don't, I expect that their will be more fighting in Southern Lebanon. Israel has had it and if Lebanon doesn't hold up it's end, Israel won't show as much restraint the second time around.

They did - it just isn't being reported that way over here.

Why do you think Nasrullah had to issue his mea culpa over the weekend ("Gee, if I'da known that the Jews were gonna get SO pissed off, I'da never snatched the soldiers!").

The Lebanese, non-Shia and Shia alike, are ROUNDLY pissed at that moron for screwing up the whole country. This doesn't get reported over here because the Shia are supposed to be the good guys.

I have only one question for those who continue to believe that Israel "lost the war" - how many more victories like that can Hezbollah / Lebanon sustain? That pretty well sums it up, wouldn't you say?

You would have to define a "win". Would it mean destroying all their weapons? Would it mean killing all of them? Would it mean forcing the Lebanese government to restrain Hezbollah?
If any of these things had happened Israel would have a breather for a short time until some other Muslim terrorist group attacked them.

first of all no one sees Hamas installation rocket launching sites close to them. Hamas launches its rockets from open factors(the place no one lives) close to the border. additionally I surely have heard that Hamas does undesirable issues to Palestinians who oppose them i'm undecided if it is genuine or no longer. 2d the Palestinians have not got any UN representatives to "voice out" to and that i do no longer comprehend why they might even hardship chatting with the UN because of the fact each and every time the UN says something it is surpassed over exceedingly by utilising Israel who holds the checklist for violating the main UN resolutions interior the international. Are they held against their will? you do no longer think of so? think of back. Israel closed all their borders they are able to't get out. Gaza is almost a huge reformatory. specific they are held against their will. "allowing Hamas to apply them as human shields" hmm... if there are 2 adult men strolling down the line and one among them is a common guy and the different is a member of Hamas except the single from Hamas occurs to be uniformed, which they are generally no longer, how will every physique comprehend who's who? If somebody from Hamas occurs to stay in a house or appartment close to them they'd no longer even comprehend that that guy or woman has something to do with Hamas and in the event that they do, its unlike they have any money to circulate someplace else in the event that they had to. Hamas lives interior the comparable places different Palestinians stay, they have not got a chosen area purely for them and there isn't any longer something every physique can do approximately it. while somebody cries in front of a camara because of the fact their enjoyed ones have been killed thats no longer "melodrama" Palestinians are surely person and that they experience unhappy while their buddies and kin are killed. a minimum of maximum Israelis will say that their government is focused on Hamas and that the civilian casualties are very unlucky and that they are harmless sufferers of the conflict and then they blame Hamas for those deaths yet you're surely blaming the lifeless and injured Palestinian civilians themselves.... it is in simple terms ill.

i hope for peace. all opinions are controvertial, including mine- so I mean no offence. i'm with israel. if hezbolla won, who knows what they can do to this world? they want to completeley get rid of israel and it's no joke. hezbolla hates americans, hates president bush (according to their videos). they are terrorists. they are called "holy" if they kill others people. they want everyone to be like them. plus, they get so much money from syria, iran, saudi arabia, so you can't really know what they'll do next. israel, on the other hand, will not have soldiers blow themselves up to kill other people. they are smarter than that. their technology goes beyond many other countries. this is like a huge propaganda war. (changing pictures, paying people to cry. wtf??) if israel wins, no matter who wins, someone will always try to start war with israel. we can't really change that. i'm a kid. and if you don't agree with me, that's okay. im not looking for a best answer. im just glad i can voice my opinion.

thanks.
