Yes!!! My Hubby is over there now,and they are so ready to get out. Bush doesn;t know what the hell they are doing,or why we are there now.
There have been at least four rationales. First we were told that Saddam had WMD, and that he even was working on a drone which could deliver a nuclear weapon to America. Rice said that we shouldn't wait for the mushroom cloud. Bush said we had to strike preemptively before a nation became an imminent threat. After WMD were not found, we were told we were bringing democracy to the country, by ridding it of a genocidal tyrant. Next, we were told that we were fighting terrorism over there so that it would not come to the United States. Then Bush and Cheney tried to associate Saddam Hussein with the 9/11 terrorists, so we were in Iraq to strike back at the 9/11 terrorists. Then we were told we were fighting to establish a "new Middle East" but that was not really defined, except as a place of modernity and "freedoms".. As of today, per Bush's most recent speech, it seems as though we are in Iraq fighting a global war on radical Islam. Who knows how long we get lied to,and what the next reason will be.....Do what Barbara should have made Bush Senior do-PULL OUT BUSH!!!
GET US OUT OF IRAQ!!!!!

Id like to hear the answer to this from some of the soldiers themselves, but guess what they are over in Iraq, torn from their families, getting killed by groups of people who have their own beliefs that arent even close to ours, that for the most part dont even want them there any longer.
The soldiers are staying, with out the proper equipment to keep them safe, fighting for freedoms they dont have or cant exercise.
And people say they will come here if the troops arent there,HELLO!!They have been and probably still are.And as bad as the world is getting I would rather have "my soldier" here by my side raising his kids when the nuclear bombing begins, rather than him be killed by a coward Iraqi that hides an IED,EFP, or worse and hides,so that when he does get blown to pieces his battle buddies have to pick up whats left, put it in a body bag and haul him around in the back of a flatbed truck for several hours in the 140 plus weather until they get him home where he cant have a normal funeral, but closed casket.Thats the reality people.

This is not a simple yes or no answer. If we take them out all at once, then there is the realistic chance that the government will crumble and the country will descend into full-fleged civil war (much worse than what's going on right now). If that happens, it's likely that Iran, Syria, Kuwait, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia will all get drawn in. If we don't leave, we're simply just sitting around asking to be shot, seeing as there is no plan to "win" in Iraq. Considering that, it is best that some honest politicain devise an exit strategy that wouldn't call for an immediate pull-out, but one that would take a few months in order to keep outside countries and groups from getting more involved in Iraq.

Bush and the republicans don't know what the hell to do in Iraq. We have to pay 2 billion per month while they decide. In the meantime he goes to Utah and criticizes people who actually have a plan.

Yes and no. It is to late just to leave that way. This will cause a deceptive peace. On the other hand practically it is of course safer for those fighting to go back home. If you meant leaving the troops there for prolonged periods then it looks more like expansionism and colonisation. There is no yes & no answer I belive. Time will hopefully show a good solution.

I guess it all depends who you ask. if you ask the gun ho, folks they will say keep them in there. if you ask a parent that has a kid overseas they will say to bring them home. if you as a gov. official he/she will give you a run-a-round. bring them home and war will come to us! keep them there and we will continue to spend millions and millions plus god knows how many lives we will loose. Why not create a permanent base there in IRAQ or where ever we have war. Re-cruit their citizens into our military, make them american, pay them american salaries but do not give them access to the U.S. Let them fight their own fight under our own colors. Ever thought of that? Good luck

Everytime troops leave early, thousands or millions die.
Think of Cambodia and the slaughter after the first Gulf war.
