Don't you think the international community should force Israel to make a major contribution towardsLebanon's rebuilding and reconstruction costs? This might encourage them israelis to find less agressive means for resolving conflicts in future, and with minimum impact on innocent people.
Keep in mind, hezbola is a small part of the lebanese population, what israel did to the majority of the population in lebanon is very inhumane.

What's with all you terrorist apologists that think Lebanon is the victim here???

At least Israel has the balls to do what the rest of the world seems incapable of doing, and that is killing terrorists. There will be no peace in the Middle East (or the world, for that matter) until each and every terrorist is exterminated.

Hezbollah is nothing but a bunch of Islamic terrorists who's professed goal is to kill every "infidel" on this planet, specifically Israelis and Americans. How can any rational thinking human being support this???

Stop being aggressively ignorant and stop believing that Islamic culture is a victim of OUR culture. Radical Islamism today is nothing but a new form of Nazism.

If Hezbollah is such a small population of Lebanese, why did the Lebanese government allow such terrorists not only to call Lebanon home but to allow Hezbollah to violate international laws by storing its arsenal in civilian areas?

Lebanon and Hezbollah both owe Israel a great deal of money.

With your reasoning, maybe it was a mistake for Britain to defend itself during WWII when the nazis attacked...

You have to look at the big picture, more powerful and influential jews in the United States and most other western powers, which translates into more support for Israel, together with Islamist agenda comming nto conflict with the interest of westrn powers.

So this all adds up to a weak and easily manipulated UN by the western powers who hold most of the cards there.

This makes it hard for this and other conflicts to be fairly resolved and investigated.

Also most of the media in the west is controlled by jews so, public opinion, which is generally easily manipulated, in this matter and other matters is mostly sided with them.

Israel has tried to be fair, but like the U.S. they (and we) end
up being called the "enemy". They gave up the Gaza as part
of an agreement, and then the others trashed it when they
took it over, did not appreciate the new land given them, and
went ahead and started the controversy all over again by
capturing the two that are now prisioners. What a bummer.
You just can't be nice or have peace talks with terrorists.

Is that like calling the Kettle Black! What exactly are we doing in Iraq! They are worse off power wise, and many other things wise, than they were when Saddam was there. I believe all of us would have been better off if Saddam was still there! We are killing more people than he did, and we are doing it in the same manner!

Israel was attacked! They have a right to respond!

Hezbollah is a large organization that is used as the terrorist wing of Iran and now Syria! They fired plenty of rockets into Israel, and their leader even said they "miscalculated" when they murdered and kidnapped soldiers inside of Israel

Hezbollah murdered 242 Marines in Beirut if you recall, at the behest of Iran!

Maybe if Lebanon took some action against Hezbollah, you'd have a point, but do you expect Israel to bend over every time they get attacked? think about it, smart guy

the government of Lebanon did little or nothing to stop Hezbollah in most cases and if you did not notice Hezbollah hid among the civilian population.

Um......I'm thinking Hezbollah needs to write a check to Israel for the damages it incurred due to the terrorist attack by Hezbollah. If Lebanon doesn't want to be destroyed, then it needs to get the terrorist the hell out of their country. See how simple that is?

How can you make them pay. On the contrary, they will probably get more money from other countries like the U.S to replenish their military stock. Think about this, the U.S has been in WAR with other countries, destroy buildings, lifes and atmosphere, should they pay, and what ever they contribute to re-build how do we know it is enough besides how do you pay back for killing inoscent lives. Israel should pay, not with someone elses money, with their own plus their own people to go over and clean up the BIG mess they left behind. Good luck.

I'll settle for Israel paying for the weapons they used to do it, rather than using the war welfare money we send them every month.
