Newspaper reports around the world have been arguing that the US used phospor / sulphur weapons in Falluja and in Lebanon. There are several Scientist forums producing evidence pointing to a contravention of CWC.

If you refer to Mustard gas (aka Yperite) it is NOT used in Phosphorus Bombs. Its simply that phosphorus burns you when you are it by it.

Others have already told you where it is used for.

Either the journalists do not know anything about weapons or they deliberately lied to give the USA a bad reputation.

Well you made your first mistake by reading the newspaper and if you are listening to the news on TV, it is your second. The media today is more interested in reporting death than the truth. To many socialists runing the papers and to many uneducated anchors. Yes most anchors never went to college and some in the past never graduated from high school. The news wouldn't know the truth if it jumped up and hit them in the face. By the way the socialist movie stars are just as bad. Boycott the movies and let America know how ignorant they are. Never believe what you read, never what you hear and only half of what you see.

Mustard gas is what you are thinking of and as James11A said, yes it's been banned for years, it was first used during WWI and was not used for long. The problems that was had with it was that the gas was light and you had to be close to the enemy target to have any effect on them and if the wind changed then it blew right back into your own troops. This wasn't worth the risk for either side considering it was just a burning agent, on into WWII other chemical agents were used such as Hitler using Cyclon B, clorine tablets among other things

Mustard hasn't been used by the US in over half a century, and even then (WWII), we used it once or twice and were sickened by the results. Phosphorus (used in old style matches) is used as a flare as well as a target designator (the spotter marks the target, then the hitter fires a missile, drops a bomb, or fires artillery on the site).

Phosphorus is used to mark an area for bombardment by artillery not as a weapon in it's self. But if it did hit you it would burn you to death. Blister agent is completely different as it is a liquid chemical weapon which the Americans would not use.
You have been told a load of anti-war nonsense my friend.

This is off the point. The first US solder killed in Lebanon during Reagan Era was service person trying to defuse cluster bomb dropped by Israel that didn't go off.

wow! this is a highly emotive question... with such passive responses! one senses that no one wants to admit that the american govt. is still using some of the most horrendous weapons ever made!!!! a prime example of how they pay lip service to the world, but just cheat behind everyone's back.
i recently read a lot about the subject of weapons being used by the US, and actually what they are doing, is changing the name of the weapon so they can continue to use it. in all likely hood, mustard gas is just another example....
sick b***ards is all i can say.

but what is worse is the the geneva convention was broken so publicly in lebanon but no one is screaming to israel's blood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure what you are referring to when you speak of "Sulphur mustard". If you are referring to Mustard Gas (a blistering agent) we are not using it and have banned its use for many many years. The use of white phosphorous (WP) artillery rounds for spotting and adjustment of artillery has been common for years.
