Certainly. As a veteran of two undeclared wars and several "peacekeeping" missions involving getting shot at, I did learn one thing for certain: I want to fight over there, not here.

My honest opinion is that the United States invading Iraq was a good descision in regards to the positioning of our troops. Just think about this, we have soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq which neighbor Iran. This already gives us a strategic attacking point into Iran. If it wasn't for the war in Iraq all soldiers would have to go through Afghanistan, air or sea. I agree that Iraq is taking up alot ofour resources but I refuse to believe that the U.S. can not fight a second war and the one in Iraq like some reports say. When Iraq becomes a stable government the citizens of Iran will see the freedoms they enjoy and will push for change in there own government. Obviously where our military is in Iraq has zero chance of helping us in the case of North Korea but I really feel our soldiers being in Iraq will not only help that country but will give us another strategic ally in the Middle East.

War in any military position is not good. Everything today is planned, there was a ad in AD-BUSTERS that said: Iraq and the "q" was crossed out that said: IRAN, so we can see that, nothing is more than a AGENDA.
We have to remember, the political agenda and the personal agendas are FAR more different than we as citizens. We want peace and justice, the government wants, money, control and power.
We are nowhere in a good position. All the MIDDLE EAST, wants, is for us to acknowledge we were wrong, and most importantly, GET OUT OF where we do not belog.
"That's all."

In my opinion, there is No Good military positioning for the US or anyone...War is futile and the needless death it creates is unconscionable! I believe the war with Iraq was ill-advised and not related at all with the situation brewing in Iran..I hope and pray that a peaceful solution can be reached in the middle east..and end the bloodshed of the innocent men, women and children...

Any WAR is a loser! Look at it from this point: Should Russia send troops to America to support Mexican immigration issues
in America? NO! We do not need another country to invade America, to decide what we should or should not do! Even if we should go to war with Mexico over the issue.
America has no business trying to tell another country how they should manage their affairs?
Our "better than you", arrogant, one side attitude is one of the main reasons that so many countries view America as the greatest threat to world peace.
We did not have these issues in 1947, why do we have them now? How many friends are we making, right now, by being in Iraq?

Not really...surrounded by unfriendly states (except Kuwait - for now)...terrorists and insurgents have proven that they can kill and hide, and remain mostly unstopped - while facing the greatest military power in the world. What does that say for us?
