THIS IS WHAT A US SOLDIER SUPPOSEDLY IN IRAQ POSTED IN ANOTHER QUESTION:
Third we are not over her for oil you friggin retards. if we were here for oil would be paying $3 a gal for gas? NO the answer is no you retards. We are here fighting terrorisim and keeping the fight from the streets of hometown USA.
THE REASON BUSH INVADED IRAQ WAS FOR OIL, NOT TO MAKE GASOLINE CHEAP FOR AMERICANS, BUT TO LINE HIS, CHENEY'S AND HIS BUDDIES IN THE OIL INDUSTRY POCKETS WITH BLOOD MONEY. DO SOLDIERS GET THE NEWS IN IRAQ OR JUST LIES FROM KARL ROVE?
SINCE BUSH INVADED IRAQ, OIL COMPANIES HAVE BEEN RAKING IN RECORD PROFITS, EVEN TOPPING WAL-MART AS #1 MOST PROFITABLE COMPANY. BUT DO WE SEE ANY DISCOUNTS AT THE PUMP? NO BECAUSE IF THE OIL PRICES WERE TO CRASH, BUSH AND HIS CRONIES WOULDN'T MAKE ANY MONEY. DUH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUT I DON'T EXPECT ANY HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT SOLDIERS TO UNDERSTAND ECONOMICS 101. THEY TEACH THAT IN COLLEGE.
AND LOOK UP HOW MUCH HALIBURTON MADE OFF YOUR BLOOD

You're an idiot. Gas prices are high because of the demand (all those SUVs getting 8 miles to the gallon)
YOU MEAN THE TAX LOOPHOLE THAT BUSH RAISED FROM $50K TO $100K SO SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS CAN BUY HUMMERS FOR BASICALLY NOTHING?
and the fact that Clinton's policies allowed most of the oil companies to merge and eliminate competition.
WHAT DID CLINTON HAVE TO DO WITH MERGERS MORON? BTW, GAS WAS 89 CENTS A GALLON UNDER CLINTON.
There are no other companies capable of the infrastructure rebuilding that Haliburton can do. Not one. Anywhere in the world.
BECHTEL, FLUOUR, THE PARSONS GROUP, SCHLUMBERGER AND FOSTER WHEELER WOULD DISAGREE WITH YOU.
Funny how a soldier working a ridiculous number of hours per week for little pay is ridiculed by a slacker with nothing more to do but scream at people on the internet, AND get their story wrong.
FUNNY HOW NEOCONS DEFEND SOLDIERS DYING AS LONG AS THEIR OIL PORFOLIO KEEPS GOING UP.

1. I'm a soldier. I'm not stupid.
2. I am not a high school dropout. You have to have a high school education or you cannot be a soldier.
3. I took economics 101 in college. (hey maybe you should go to college) (wait, you can't pass the entrance exam) (you should go study now)
4. Yahoo! Answers is for asking questions, not posting rants. Go back to your chat room.
5. You mean to tell me that you are FORCED to live in the United States? Dude that must suck. I mean, who would want to live here, freedom isn't fun or anything (this is called sarcasm, i dont imagine you are smart enough to know this.)
6. If the best you can do is criticize the people who make your way of life possible, you need to get out. Go live somewhere where you have to dress, eat, and pray a certain way or the government will prosecute you. Sounds like that would make you happy. Because it's all about you, right? Yeah. We fight and die for YOU.
7. Do us all a favor and get out, because I gaurentee that 99% of America thinks you are scum.
To everyone else who SUPPORTS your troops who are going overseas and dying for our flag, our freedom, and America's right to complain about anything under the sun, THANK YOU!!!

1) You need a high school education to enter into the military. Solders are not high school dropouts
2) The reasoning why we have not seen prices drop is because MY Economics 101 class taught me that when supply is tight and demand is increasing prices will rise.
Oil demand keeps going up with Asia(i.e., India, China). Supply is tight because we haven't seen oil equipment come back online in the gulf after Katrina which sustained major damage. Also, there is unrest in Nigeria all the time, which strains the oil market.
Not to mention Iran and North Korea also instigate oil worries. This leads to speculation and rising of oil prices.
Oil infrastructure takes years to build. And it's not exactly safe over there. Plus the insurgents are bombing the oil infrastructure anyways, so it's the other countries whom we have to depend for supply like its always been.
3) Oil companies are making record nominal profits. However, as a percentage of revenue, it's only about 10%. Banks make about 20-30%. They just don't make as much so its not on the news
I would suggest you stop getting your news from Code Pink, Moveon.org and Michael Moore and start thinking for yourself.

There are a huge number of soldiers (officer, warrant officer and enlisted) with advanced degrees from prestigious universities. So I would not be making statements that US soldiers are sooooooo stupid.
In answer to your question, one US soldier posted a comment you disagreed with.
You then went on to state that Bush invaded Iraq for oil. I presume you have evidence to support that?
Companies are supposed to make profits. That is what drives further investment. For instance, Wal-Mart has a track record of success. If I had $100 to invest, would I be more wise to allow Wal-Mart to use my money, or should I hand it to you? Where am I likely to get a decent return on my investment.? Were you paying attention to Economics 101 when you were in college?
I am not certain that Wal-Mart is in the business of producing gasoline. How do their prices and profits have any connection with the retail price of gasoline?
FYI, in order to enlist in the US Army you have to have a high school diploma. It is possible to enlist with a GED. Drop outs are not allowed to enlist.
Lastly I have been donating blood to the American Red Cross for years. It may have saved lives. As far as I know, Haliburton has not made any money from my blood.
Your ignorance is showing.

yeah high school drop outs, stupid don't have an education, all this coming from someone WHO OBVIOUSLY IS MORE STUPID THAN THOSE HE IS COMPLAINING ABOUT
military officers have at least a 4 year college degree most of them from the same liberal assed colleges your idiot friends are attending.
NCO'es have at least an associates degree and to make the higher ranks a bachelors is necessary
Stupid and brainwashed idiots tell that to the following
General Washington
Thomas Jefferson
Ronald Reagan
Jimmy Carter
Neil Armstrong
John Kerry
John Glenn
John McCain
Jimmy Hendrix
Chris Christopherson
Jimmy Steward
Johnny Cash
David Robinson
Walter Reed
Tommy Franks
Colin Powell
Josh Turner
George Strait
Merriwether Lewis
Sam Houston
Andrew Jackson
William Clark
All of the above served in the military I don't think many were that stupid considering they seemed to have done much more with their lives than what you seem to have accomplished

You are a RETARD!!
They teach that in College?? Well guess what, soldiers can go to college and not be a nerd like you!!
We are in Iraq for Oil?? What about all these news about another terrorist attack, is that just a phuking joke to you??
This is you...... "Let's bring our soldiers home, we are fighting for nothing". They come home and..BOOM! Another attack cause those damn terrorist hate us and they will think we are wussies if we just come home. They did it once, they will do it again, especially if they think we were too scared to fight them and came home. Big mistake to bring the soldiers home. That will just make the terrorists more hungry for innocent people.
Maybe Bush is also doing it for some Oil, why not. Might as well get some oil from those @ssholes while we are at it. But the most important is fighting for peace in the US. PERIOD!!

One thing...i have to repeatedly say that the war on Iraq was a horrible mistake and blunder created by BUSH & co...for some personal reason. One more thing...a soldier is ordered into battle...he loses his right to decide whether he wants to go to war or not...when he becomes a soldier. Thats his DUTY...Noone can argue about that. If u don't go to the war...ur termed as coward and dishonored...and when u go for a war...ur glorified.
The soldiers should get their respect...don't dishonor them.
But then...when u think of ABU GHARIB u kind of start thinking whether these soldiers are trained properly...in HUMAN RIGHTS.! It is sad to see that a soldier could go so low...it does create some doubt about the integrity of the war.
Coming back to the real question...i think YES...BUSH & Co...went into Iraq...just for oil. He is very much linked to big oil firms in US....and Saudi Arabia. This can be confirmed by one big truth ...the US government is controlled by big Industry giants. So all the US policies have been created to bring more business to American companies. U'll also have to remember that after 9/11 the lot of companies were losing their profits...because they were saturated. So Iraq would bring lot of revenue for these companies...e.g weapons industry for supplying weapons(this runs into billions of dollars), of course...the OIL, Then there are the private security companies...and the reconstruction industry...they are going to make lot of profits... And of course...how can u forget the statement saying that the American companies will get the preferences over any tender.
I'm just sorry to see that the public...which votes for the government...is kept in the dark....IT is an impossible situation for US in Iraq...but i must say...a large number of soldiers are doing a pretty good job...especially the ones on the ground. Also...I think its about time....considering the elections are near....the new government should learn from the mistakes of its predecessor and use different tactics to fight the WAR ON TERROR....because the current tactics are not working at all...Its just creating more support for the terrorists. Dropping bombs from the air on to the houses of innocent people are not going to solve this menace of terrorism...it is going to generate sympathy and support for these terrorists. They have to go back to the drawing board...and think of some other way to deal with terrorists and their propaganda...!

Stupid soldier is it! Let see can you repair a helicopter? Can you effectively lead a group of people? Can you take a compass and a map and a few common items and live for weeks on end while evading people who are trying to kill you? Those are the simple tasks!
I am not brainwashed, I listen to the liberal media and read crap like this from ungrateful people and still I choose to be a part of one of the greatest group of people in the world.

south park sums it up perfectly with the phrase "college know it all hippy" which is what you sound like. the person who goes to school, learns a few things, becomes radical, rants and raves, grows older, gets a corporate job, pays taxes, and learns that the world is more complicated than their feeble mind can comprehend. hopefully, if their brain is not completely rotten by all night glue huffing binges and joints smoked while tossing the frisbie around, they will calm down as they get older. i can only hope that you turn out for the best, everyones sanity depends on it.
