Not only dropping the "bomb" over japan, but also fire bombings of Japan, and the carpet bombings of Germany. It was common knowldegde civilians would die in all of those raids, but they were sent and dropped on those countries.

Would the press of today splatter the TV with images of dead civilians or would they talk about how the bombings will help end the war and bring victory for our country?

My dad fought in WW2 and passed away a few years ago. We were told he wasn't able to get a monoment because he already has a tombstone. I didn't question it till I went to visit his grave on Memorial Day and all the war veterans had flags on thier graves provided by the cemetary to honor the vets. He didn't have a flag because he didn't have a memorial plaque. I felt just horrible for him. My father was so proud to serve in the war and yet he wasnt reconized because there was nothing to let anyone know he was a vet. There were flags on more than 100 graves and my father had nothing. I left him flowers but he deserves to be reconized, he was so proud of his military days. Any help to get him a military plaque for his tombstone (what do I need..I have his dischage papers and everything) It is horrible that he fought for us and no one cares. He was a proud man and deserves some honor. Please help.

When I was in Air Force JROTC in high school our instructor who was a Colonel told us about someone he knew who had been awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor and had gotten an Oak Leaf Cluster placed on it, signifying that they had been awarded the medal multiple times. Has this ever happened? If so was it a recent occurence? In what branch of service was the individual awarded? When I asked my step dad who was in the Air Force for 20 years about he told me that only two Airmen had ever been awarded it, once in Vietnam and once in the first Gulf War. Was just curious to clarify...

The U.S. was part of the French Empire , at least part of it .
So they might feel they have a claim and would that allow them to fire on us ?
How would that be different than Isreal Being Shelled ?

Right now I live in Oshkosh, WI and will be finishing my undergrad degree this next school year and I was wondering if either of those branches would make it easier for me to move south. Right now its not really possible because I would never be able to go on a job interview.

Some people are still a little upset over the whole hollocost misunderstanding but the man rallied his country, had a united people behind him and almost conqured Europe. This is no small feat.

I just want facts, not only opinions , which in this case, might be lame, very absurd too.

i mean strictly naval battles, like carrier to carrier warfare, subs and destroyers battling, ship to ship warfare, it seems like naval forces are used to support land forces.

background:
i was sworn into the army national guard for the first time at MEPS the day before yesterday. i guess i am in delayed entrance because i am a senior this year, and therefore can't go to basic until next summer. i passed all of the tests (obviously, because i got in).

my question:
i took a drug test that i am about 75% sure i passed. i had done marijuana once about 24 days before i took the drug test. i passed the one my recruiter gave me, but it was faint. so what will happen if my drug test comes back positive (it takes 72 hours to process)? will i be immediately kicked out or what? please keep in mind that i have already sworn in.

please answer if you can help me.
