Iraq was wrong! It is not up to the US to go bomb a country because the UN has sanctioned it. How can anyone believe that that one man, Saddam, was worth 2,500 of our young men and perhaps as many as 30,000 people dead , a good portion of them small children and babies?
Give us all a break. And the last thing I want to hear is some phony christian condoning these actions.

Afghanistan yes... it was the .home of the terrorist training camps supported by $$$ earned from the sale of the national flower "opium " poppies.
Iraq, no. There was never a love connection between Osama and Sadam.... never, no matter how they try to connect the two. Then or now... I think the Iraq war fear driven...fear of WMD's. Never proved. In my opinion...it was Bushie's Texas cowboy style "Let's git 'em: and show 'em attitude." He had little or no oposition from congress...which tells me they don't know there stuff or do their homework. I didn't agree with it then. or now, but I do believe this war will never end. What a mess, huh?
Next it will be North Korea they'll scare us with ...but fear not, China will take care of them. Meanwhile, say a prayer for perseverance,..there is a new election coming up. Pay close attention, always support our troops... and then get out an vote.
P.S. I am just an old grandmother who never finished college and barely able to live on a small gov't retirement check but I still got my hearing, able to discern what is going on, have no voice except ot answer Yahoo questions like yours...but the power of the future is in the Internet connecting with people like you who are smart enough to ask the right questions. You won't get all the right answers maybe but you too will be able to discern and that what it is all about. Keep going...you are on the right road here. Good luck.

Sadam Husein was in defiance of numerous UN resolutions, a threat to his neighbors (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia) and a threat to the primary oil supply of this country and the world. If Bush hadn't taken him out, someone would have had to eventually.
Afghanistan was being run by the taliban who were giving sanctuary to Al Qaida, the people who destroyed the world trade center, attacked the Pentagon and killed 3000 Americans.
Bush was right in taking millitary action in both countries.

Afghanistan, Yes..Iraq..No.
Saddam was a bad boy and needed to go, but at the time was no threat. And had nothing to do with 9/11.
Bin-laden would have been caught by now or at least we would be allot closer to him had Bush not gone to Iraq first. Look how many have died and now more are going to Baghdad. Bush only wanted to finish his daddy's work..He (BUSH) is a dip stick and should be impeached.

We were attacked by terrorist based in Afghanistan. So it was right to attack them. We should have finished that war before starting any other one, especially one we were not drawn into. We were not drawn into Iraq. We chose to invade them. In fact, we had a date set (March 19). There was no valid and true reason stated for invading Iraq. But, anyone that was opposed to the war was branded a traitor as the war was starting.

Whether he was right or wrong, it got you thinking about the problem and got you asking for help in trying to understand what was going on.
Imagine all the fancy Press-folks who got shoved away from trying to find out what was happening with the oil stuff. Those poor inquisitive story-writers were given paid vacations to the middle-east where they can tell stories about what is going on outside their hotel rooms ( or the local bars ).
Pay attention to what they are telling you, and you may find your answer among the fiction they are passing off to you.

attacking afghanistan was what al-queda wanted the US to do thats why they waited till Bush gained power before 9/11 , they knew he would retaliate as apposed to Clinton who they were not sure. Bush revels in being the Texas gunslinger who is keener to send other people to war than he was himself. Bush is a danger to world stability at best , at worst ..........
