Some people are still a little upset over the whole hollocost misunderstanding but the man rallied his country, had a united people behind him and almost conqured Europe. This is no small feat.

How can a mass murderer be a great leader? Did he conquere europe? Or he conquered a few confused French and british politicians land a few small nations? He naver conqured Stalins(another tyrant) Russia or Churchils(Probably the greatest politician of 20'th century, the most farsighted honest yet astute) Britain. Hitler lead germany to complete destruction. Any ambition to win the world is utter foolish. Read the following two books

The rise and fall of Third Reich. By William Shirer,
Hitler And Stalin , By Allan Bullok.

And you shall know what an utter fool he was. Didn't he commit suicide? What for if he was capable of leading people and winning europe? Holocaust was no misunderstanding. It was the most ghoulish, bitter fact of history. Mind it I'm not a jew, yet I can't stop hating Germans for holocaust. Read history seriously and make wise and responsible comments. Here is another famous book about hitler

Hitler: a study in tyranny. By Allan Bullock. Read this also and u shall realize that Nazis were the worst kind of filth under the sun.
If u want names of more books I'm ready to suggest.

Remember three historical facts - Contrary to popular belief he was neither a great politician, nor a Military genious, nor a great leader. He was just a man with a high degree of low animal cunning, which can never take one further than converting a county to a hip of debrice and commiting suicide.

The Holocaust was NO 'misunderstanding', but it has to be agreed that as far as leadership quality goes, Hitler was definitely one of the best. Since you can't judge leadership on the morals of a leader but how well he leads, he very well could be the best. Hitler convinced a country to kill a few million people based on what made them different, he took an independent party to full parliamentary majority, and could have taken over all of Eurasia, except for the whole Russia in winter thing, and the fact that the Allies pwnd him.

What works against him is that he had little staying power; if Hitler had won the war and not been completely mentally unstable it's possible he would have ruled until a natural death. As it was, however, he left Germany unable to fend for herself without him, once the war ended.

First of all let's clear up one problem with your statement; the Holocaust was not just a MISUNDERSTANDING...it was complete and total genocide...where do you get off saying such a foolish thing to begin with?

Secondly, when Hitler came to power in 1933, he did a lot of good for Germany...this is not in issue..he did manage to rebuild the infrastructure of Germany after World War I; but he became overly obsessed by his power and was a charismatic speaker... he ruled by fear and intimidation.

In so far as Hitler being the greatest leader of the 20th century, I will have to take issue with this statement. There are others that deserve that title and he is not on the list....

Holocaust misunderstanding...please explain how that was a misunderstanding. The truth of the matter is that Hitler was one of the most brilliant leaders the world has ever known. The man was a genius. Like most highly intelligent people though, he was also borderline psychotic. Had he not crossed the line with the slaughter of innocent civilians, he may have accomplished his goal of world supremacy. War is fought with military soldiers, not helpless women and children. His was a classic case of greed for power. He wasn't happy with wiping out armies, he wanted to rid the world of any threat to his reign. The Jews were a real threat to him both politically and religiously. Just look how they took control of this country by taking over the national media sources. Manson made the mistake of threatening to eradicate them from the earth and look where he ended up. No one paid much attention when he threatened to wipe out the blacks and Hispanics, but as soon as he threatened them...bam...he was behind bars.
Hitler will go down in History as one of the most brilliant military minds ever, but unfortunately will always be remembered for the needless and heartless slaughter of millions of people who did nothing wrong, but to be what he considered the wrong race or religion, or had sexual preferences he disagreed with.

What about Queen Elizabeth the second? She is the head of state of the British Commonwealth. She has been a leader for almost half of the 20th century so obviously she has some experience. Hitler shot himself the Queen still reigns, God Save the Queen!

No, Winston Churchhill was, followed by Mrs Thatcher. She took no BS from anyone.

BTW, please don't call the hollocost event a misunderstanding, it was a big event we must never forget otherwise it will happen again. Secondly, I know that most of the people who suffered in the holocaust were of Jewish origin but there were also other ethnic groups in there as well.

And last but not lease Russia had highest death count in WW2.

The Holocaust was NOT a misunderstanding. People are trying to re-write history and say that the Holocaust never happened. You only have to talk to someone who was in any of the death camps to know that it was very real.

Hitler was one of the most evil men ever. He was not a great leader.

Just typing this answer has made me angry about the lie you are helping to spread.

OK, my opinion about Hitler. His mistake and downfall-%100 the drugs he was addicted to. He really got that country on it's feet. He broke ground on what is known as the Autobond(Idon't know if that's how it's spelled). He is also the creater of the Volkswagon or "People's Car" But the drugs make people do crazy things.

I agree with you in the sense that he was able to rally a whole nation to do his bidding. However his Human rights doctrine has much to be desired. If had of left Russia & Great Britain alone, and really worked to only resettle the Jews/gays/gypsys he may have made some serious ground. Woulda Shoulda......He's dead and burning in hell to this day.

To me, hitler was smart, intelligent, and a great military leader. I think he could of created a aryan race, if his allie muzzolini didnt mess up.

To every of my history teacher, they say hitler was a brillant man, i think this to.

although he was brillant, he was crazy, his body twitched ever since the beginning of the war, and disallowed pictures to be taken of him, but only his head was allowed to take pictures, but later his eyes twitched like his rest of his body. His crazyness brang about the holocaust tho so i dunno.

its your opinion of the greatest leader if u take different view points.
military genius or bringer of the holocaust
