When you fight and die in Iraq you are not fighting for my freedom here in the USA. My freedom or lack of freedom has nothing to do with Iraq. You silly troops are dying for a worthless cause. You are dying for nothing. Remember, Iraq did not do 9-11. God!! Are you troops stupid for fighting in Iraq.

personally background. Born in Canada. Texas wife. both myself and wife served in U.S Army. I in the infantry and her in intelligence. Two overseas tours. Now i'm Back in Canada to join the airforce as a pilot. I've been back in my home for awhile and don't like what I hear from some people. It seems to me that a lot of Canadians want to adopt the policy lay low and you won't get hurt. I for one come from a family history of warriors my entire family down though the generations were fighters they didn't hide when trouble came they met it will bravery and there lives. I know that Canada isn't the only place or people that feel this way. Even many in America are defeatist. But why? They don't want ot fight but they don't want to die either. So what do we do? I don't think that war is a good thing but sometimes its all you have left. I don't think our current enemy wants to hammer out a treaty. Thats just a gut feeling but I think many will agree.

Four men in full dress uniform were sitting at the Big Boy Restaurant crying their eyes out. One was saying " Boo Whoo!! The big Bad Insurgents are fighting back and hurting us"...The second Marine was saying ( Crying ) Boo Whoo...Sniff Sniff...."We are getting a butt beating in Iraq and we were told the war was over on 1st May 03"...Boo whoo!! The third and forth Marines were to distraught to talk. They were shell shocked due to the fact a rag tag group of insurgents wearing blue jeans and carrying basic weapons were able to hurt/kill the Marines. When the Iraqi waitress arrived to take the Marines order she said " For you Marines we have only one thing to give you. The Marines ask "What is it". She replied "Crow Food.

GIs may have planned Iraq rape, slayings By RYAN LENZ, Associated Press Writer
Sat Jul 1, 6:54 AM.

BEIJI, Iraq - Investigators believe a group of U.S. soldiers suspected of raping an Iraqi woman, then killing her and three members of her family plotted the attack for nearly a week, a U.S. military official said Saturday.

Up to five soldiers are being investigated in the March killings, the fifth pending case involving alleged slayings of Iraqi civilians by U.S. troops.

The Americans entered the Sunni Arab's family home, separated three males from the woman, raped her and burned her body using a flammable liquid in a cover-up attempt, a military official close to the investigation said. The three males were also slain.

"This is the American Way"!! reported one troop as he left the home with arms in the air as he yelled "Victory!! The Military will investigate.

My daughter who is in the air force is completing a school and will be going on to the next phase of training across country. She has 5 days to get there. She would be allowed to have her car at her new duty station so planned on flying home (which is on the way) and getting her car, then driving the rest of the way, which is only about an 8 hour drive. However She is being given an airline ticket to her new location. When I was in the service when you changed duty stations they gave you travel pay and how you got there was your business. Has that changed or is this just because she's still "in training"?

I am an American soldier currently stationed in Iraq. I have spoked a few times with some of the people of this country. They believe that if the US and its allies were to ever pull out of here that Iran and Syria would come in and take them over in a matter of weeks. Over 80% of the population of Iraq wants us here and believes that we are doing them a great service. Why is it that the American people are so caught up in saying that President Bush only came here for oil, and can't see that we really are making a difference in these people's lives?

Some folks obviously just want to vent and make some statement or another? "George Bush is evil... / Can you enumerate the ways? " etc. Come on, get over it... If you have a question to ask, then ask it. But if you want to Ask "Why did the United States invade Iraq? then why don't you look up the facts in the US State Department website or the UN website or something. If you just want to express your dissatisfaction with the President then fine, do it, but how many times can you fashion a question that does nothing but facilitate your own debate in your own little head.

When you see the aftermath of a terrorist bomb blast in an Iraqi marketplace, and are told that many people have died, do you think
A. That is really terrible - so many innocent people killed ?
B. Good - That is one less bomb that will be used to Kill US troops ?

This is not a "is Bush right/wrong question ?", but merely a "how do you feel ?" question.

Some of my friends say "Good - they are getting their own taste of 9/11, and it's a few less ragheads dancing in the streets", whilst other think "Poor sods. Blown up because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time".

Which view is closest to you ?
