If anyone can answer this I'd appreciate it...odd question, I have heard that males get a shot that prevents sexual desire and erection. Is this true?

Common rumor. No truth.

In reality, the pace of life and the stress level of basic training is so high that sex is typically the last thing on the typical recruit's mind.

Once you finish up with boot camp, it's a WHOLE other story! ;)

not at all. i was in the military and you take shots for any kind of diseases and salt tablets for hot days. the only birth control for men is the condom. just like the old trick of the long square needle in the left nut.

My boyfriend is in the Navy and he has no problems getting erections. I also have a girlfriend who's fiancee is in the Army and no troubles there as far as I can tell.

That wouldn't be a good thing, unless you voluntarily wanted to do that to yourself.
