GIs may have planned Iraq rape, slayings By RYAN LENZ, Associated Press Writer
Sat Jul 1, 6:54 AM.

BEIJI, Iraq - Investigators believe a group of U.S. soldiers suspected of raping an Iraqi woman, then killing her and three members of her family plotted the attack for nearly a week, a U.S. military official said Saturday.

Up to five soldiers are being investigated in the March killings, the fifth pending case involving alleged slayings of Iraqi civilians by U.S. troops.

The Americans entered the Sunni Arab's family home, separated three males from the woman, raped her and burned her body using a flammable liquid in a cover-up attempt, a military official close to the investigation said. The three males were also slain.

"This is the American Way"!! reported one troop as he left the home with arms in the air as he yelled "Victory!! The Military will investigate.

I will not defend the actions of a minute percentage of the US armed forces. However, the military as a whole cannot be held responsible for these actions. The US military, to the best of my knowledge, has yet to televise the torture and decapitation of any innocent civilians. Where is the moral outrage against these degenerates? The US military has not resorted to car bombs in crowded public places, full of non-combatants as a means of attack. Where is the disbelief that people could do such things? Why is the US military held to a standard so much higher than that of the enemy? I don't know you, but maybe you need to go to Iraq and see if your friends in the insurgency will welcome you or cut your friggin' head off.

I am proud of them. Just because there are several fools, morons, criminals in the military doesn't mean the vast majority are the same the way. Most are honest and morale people. It would also be inappropriate to judge the entire military on the acts of the 5 soldiers you refered to. Of course we feel their acts were horrible and they need to be dealt with harshly if this is truth.

You could make a comparison to Muslims. The vast majority are law abiding and loving people. Only a small percentage are extremist terrorists. I do not hold the many in lower standing because there are a few idiots amongst them. In fact there are 'problrm children' in every cross section of any population.

This act will be investigated as the article said. How does that make the whole military bad? You didn't say where you are from, but I can be relatively sure that the other citizens in your country are glad that your idiocy does not represent them as a whole. Answer to your question: Yes, I am absolutely proud of the American Fighting Machine.

Yes I am very proud of the US Military. For one I am a member of it, and wouldn't change that fact for the world.

The acts of a few do not even hold a match to the good that the other 99.9% of the Military is doing over there. You are jumping to conclusions before anyone has even been tried or sentenced on any charges.

Did the liberal media appoint you judge?

I am very proud of my military.

You see in the article the word "believed" that may or may not have happened. Also, I don't think they would need to plan something like that for "nearly a week".

I mean, she could've been killed by a musilm terrorist, and they're just laying the blame on our marines.

Oh, and you know what, look at your UN Peacekeepers. They're raping more women then anything...

Bad news jogs around the world before good news can climb out of bed.

Consider getting some far-sighted glasses to look through. And read a little more than what happens to "scratch your itch."
