Do you troops know this?

When you fight and die in Iraq you are not fighting for my freedom here in the USA. My freedom or lack of freedom has nothing to do with Iraq. You silly troops are dying for a worthless cause. You are dying for nothing. Remember, Iraq did not do 9-11. God!! Are you troops stupid for fighting in Iraq.

i was in iraq and you make a good point. A large percentage of the soldiers are pretty stupid and they have a mindset of im fighting for my country. Their views of being in Iraq are no more advanced than any country song you will hear on the radio.

However, America does need a military and without troops we would have no military. So these soldiers actually are serving their country and just because they are there, in some ways they are protecting your freedom. But again, I agree with you, being in Iraq isnt protecting your freedom. It might be protecting you from terrorist attacks, but not freedom.

As an ex U.S Army Infantry soldier I will say this. Don't judge me or people with the courage you will never have or understand. You don't have any idea period what a lack of freedom is or what its like to live under a dictator where your not even allowed to make this statement you just made without being jailed and tortured until you toe the party line. The cause is not worthless. People like you are. If this happens to work out in the future it won't be because you supported it. It will be because young Americans laid down there lives to win something that everyone wants. A world without war. How do you get there until you destroy everyone that wishes to kill you. Me personally think Iran and north Korea should be next. Hell what state do you live in maybe if its blue we will add you to the list. Your defeatist mind set makes me want to puke. Why don't you get on the home team for awhile. If not you know there are jet airliner that will deliver you to your buddies fighting in Iraq just be sure to bring your Koran. It doesn't matter if they did 9-11 I don't care these people were going to kill you. Does that compute. If not now they were on there way to trying. The only reason your not being bombed at wal-mart is soldiers have the courage to protect you. After saying what you did maybe your not worth saving. Also as a soldier I will fight where every my president tells me too. Thats called duty and honnor another thing you will never understand.

Well the troops are much smarter than you are dear. They know they are fighting for the liberation and freedom of the Iraqi people from a brutal dictator. We know Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. I'm glad to see YOU finally got that. The war on terror that is being fought all over the world is connected to 9/11. This would only be true if you are a member of al queda or an other extremist organization that studies or believes they are Islamic in nature.

While Iraq did not do 9/11 the people that did moved in to Iraq after we invaded afghanistan. There is evidence, most don't want to view or consider, that suggests elements of al queda were in Iraq even before this time. No al queda and Saddam were not friends and had different beliefs - but they had 2 common enemies - the US and Israel.

The troops know this. They understand the people they are fighting are not even the Iraqi's in many cases but elements of extreme Islam that have come from Iran, Syria, Egypt, Saudi and all ove the middle east to try and insure the United States does not get another allie in the middle east. Its too bad you don't get it.

Do you realize how much freedom you would enjoy under al queda? The freedom to bow your head long enough for them to cut it off.

I beleive in freedom of speech 100%. That being said you can say anything you like about the president, congress or anyone else in the administration.
But to say that about the troops is completely infintile. These are the people who work their asses off, get shot at, and go through hell in training to protect everyone in this country (including you). You may not agree with why they are over there but they are. If you don't support the war fine that is your RIGHT. but always support the troops. How would you like it if you came home from work thinking man I did a good job my family will be proud of me. Then your family yells at you and tells you what a terrible person you are for doing your job (at which you most likely get paid more than our soldiers) because you did your job and did what your boss told you to do.

iraq may not have a direct affect, but they harbor the terrorists. 99 percent of the insurrgents in iraq are not from iraq at all. its not our freedom they are fighting for but the iraq people's freedom from saddam. just as in germany, japan, korea, nam and other desert storms since 1990. its mostly to help out our allied countries. from the action they have gotten some intel that stopped attacks planned on the u.s. now iran will be next. it will be a massive airstrike like nothing ever seen.

WELL KID, IF THIS WAR ISN'T FOR YOU THEN MAYBE YOU SHOULD MOVE TO ONE OF THE ARABIC NATIONS AND SEE WHAT IT IS LIKE TO LIVE UNDER A DESPOTIC RULE. I PERSONALLY FOUGHT IN VIETNAM, AND IT WAS A WIDLY UNACCEPTABLE WAR. INSTEAD OF BEING WELCOMED HOME FROM THE WAR AND GIVEN ACCOLADES FOR PUTTING MY LIFE ON THE LINE, I GOT CHASTIZED FOR FIGHTING THE WAR, SUPPOSIDLY KILLING INNOCENT WOMEN AND CHILDREN.
THE ONLY WORTHLESS CAUSE HERE IS YOUR COMPLAINING TO THE TROOPS THAT ARE THERE UNDER DIRECT ORDERS. THEY MUST OBEY OR FACE PRISON TIME. THE ONE RESPONSIBLE IT THE MORON YOU ELECTED PRESIDENT. I know that people like you sleep under the blanket I provide, and then protest the manner in which I provide it. You protest me, and the guy on my left, and the guy on my right, but that doesn't matter. I answer to people far more important than you; people who have earned the right to call me stupid if they see fit. Oddly, they never do.

I happen to believe that the people of Iraq are deserving of human rights, something they didn't have when they had a dictator in power who was ethnically cleansing Iraq. Someone who imprisoned people for disagreeing with him. Someone who killed his son-in-law for disagreeing with him.

the troops don't decide weather they go to Iraq or not, they don't have a say in it dumb ***. they go because Bush said they had to go. the troops don't get to pick and choose what war they go to and what war they don't get to go to. Nor do they get to decide what state they want to help after a tornado, flood, tsunami, and so forth has destroyed homes. when the national guard helps re-build our homes and such after national disasters they are not fighting for our freedom but yet you dont have a problem standing up and supporting them now do you?. GET A LIFE. since when do you have to support the war in order to support our troops?

This "question" is idiotic. The Constitution gives you your freedoms. It also allows the President to make war with consent of Congress (which he has). Soldiers defend your freedom because they swear to support and defend the Constitution; all of it, not just the parts you like. I am ashamed of you.
