They have the same degree of right, or more so, when United States invaded Iraq to knock off Saddam. The French Canadians can fire rockets at us just as much as Israel can do targeted assassinations in the middle of a crowded street full of innocent woman and children.
In other words there is no agreed upon justice system in the world that has the authority to hold nations accountable when they break the law.
The system we have now is full of holes that are legal, and guess who would not agree to change the way it is today.
All the countries that have an advantage over other people that might compete with them.

The United States was part of the British Empire just allied with the French. Quebec was a French possession but was handed over to the British. Then Quebec joined confederation of the Dominion of Canada in 1867. So our laws apply on it. If French Canadians started attacking the United States the government of the Dominion of Canada would put a stop to it. They would probably be arrested and charged for terrorist activities or be extradited to the United States to face charges there. How is it different from Israel? Canada does not support terrorists and would not support our people committing those crimes and probably wouldn't be bombed by the United States.

Even Michael Moore would want us to attack Canada if that ever happened. However, it is always different on the world stage with Israel. Most of the world hates the Jews, so its OK that Hezbollah hurls thousands of rockets at innocent people. Jimmy Carter says it is inhumane that Israel killed civilians as they were trying to go after Hezbollah. How did we get from storming the beaches of Normandy, bombing Berlin into the ground, fire bombing Tokyo and every other major city in Japan during WWII to the political correctness that we have today? Were the civilians 65 years ago worth less than they are today? Israel is in a knife fight with a murderer and the world wants to tie its hands.

The US was never part of the "French Empire". France owned part of North America, but sold it and "then" it became part of our country. As for military action for the sake of just blowing things up....as your so poorly thought out comment suggests, aggression against the US will be dealt with accordingly. Free your mind and then watch the news, maybe you will understand.

Of course they have the right. But, thank God , being as how they are so proud fo being part French, they would carry on in the grand French tradition, and surrender first. Then if the US got really mad, they would beg us to help them fight their enemy. Those wild and crazy French.

no, but if some of them did, the US wouldn't have the right to bomb their civilian populations either. Nobody says that hezbollah is right to fire missiles into israel, but there are quite a few people saying that that justifies israel's tactics of bombing civilian targets. Aside from being immoral, it only hurts israel's cause when it kills civilians sheltering from bombings.

( I see your point.) To really put this into perspective...you should have asked...Does Canada have a right to send troops or militia into America's borders ...kill a bunch of soldiers , while kidnapping others. And expect no retaliation or invasion from Americans?

lol...are you being serious?
We don't harbor terrorists, if that is your beef. I don't necessarily agree with the actions of Bush (I never really do), but the Canadians launching an attack just reminds me of that movie...what was the name? Canadian Bacon or something.

NO!!! I think you are referring to the Louisiana Purchase, of which the French sold it to the USA and we were glad to have
bought it.
