Ok for the one(s) that said yes to enter WWI, this was not our war nor was it England who we said we are defending. WWI was protested more so than Vietnam. WWI began because of peace treaties throughout Europe. Please explain or I may have just opened a new line of questioning....which I may just do now.

Neither, and yes we should have entered WW I.
I'm sorry to inform you we don't have any hope of world peace in your or my lifetime, and probably not for many generations to come, if ever.

It took the threat of nuclear anhilation to make the countries and people of the world aware of the true possibilty of global anhilation.
Since WWI did not prevent WWII
And since there has never been a WWIII (despite commercial media hype)
I would say that WWII has given us the better shot at lasting peace.
In fact, the world is far more peaceful now than it was when I grew up in the 1970's
Try not to be too distressed by modern media coverage of the Mid East. The conflict there is extremely small scale compared to a real world war where people were dying by thousands a day, millions a month.

technically....WWII...just because the allies helped rebuild Germany and Japan after the war.....rather than acting in a punitive way, as Germany was treated after Versailles. On the whole though, as you can tell by the outcome....chances of world peace after WWII were not so great considering that the Korean War started a few years later...to be followed by Vietnam...and countless other conglicts around the world

I think we always have a huge chance at world peace that passes us by. All we have to do is get along and the government as well as all the countries combined ruins that idea. World peace starts with one person. You may not feel like you're making a big difference, but happiness spreads by doing intentional acts of kindness. I wouldn't know if we had a better chance back then because I wasn't alive then.

the golden rule is: He who has the gold MAKES the guidelines- constantly has been, constantly would be. presidents have little or no administration over what happens in the U.S.- they could be waiting to have a small effect, yet worldwide activities are what administration. if we did no longer enter into worldwide war 2, fdr could in all risk be hailed as an ineffective president- he made classes to assist- however the generating and spark of industry that got here with coming into into worldwide war 2 exchange into what introduced the economic gadget lower back form teh melancholy. anybody is putting too plenty expectancies on obama- whetehr he seems to be a sturdy president or no longer, a president ANY president, purely has constrained administration over U.S. activities. the legislature has plenty extra administration over the destiny. obama is in basic terms the face who gets credit if issues take a great turn, and the face to blame if issues stay the comparable or worsen.

after ww2. The world faintly realized they had just witnessed the bloodiest century. America is doing good in reincarnating that again although europe might not be too keen this time. Only those countries who havent seen such mass distruction will participate.

I don't think of myself as being an over religious person, but one thing most bibles say is there will always be wars and rumors of war. There are many truths in every religion, and many misconceptions caused by humans thinking they have the exclusive will of GOD.

Neither. WWI just delayed the inevitable, and we didn't have the national will to destroy the Soviets after WWII. And here we are, heheheh...

WWII...well that's not entirely true either. Patton wanted to go to Moscow and McCarther wanted to continue on with China. .....We are in a lot better shape today.
