i posted a question 3 hrs ago (in 3 categories) about the today masacre by israel in qana (lebanon) , i joint it with links about that masacre from BBC , terrible pics show the israel attack at civilians in lebanon , links to the 1996 qana masacre .

when i looked at the answers i was shocked , almost no one cried over the childeren died and the beautifull country destroyed . they only have another comments , that they deserve it !!! that weird idea based on a very idiotic thoughts came directly from israel , and just believed without even thinking :

1- "hezboullah hide in civilian places ,so If you are dumb enough to hidenext to a rocket launching site , expect to get bombed" !!!!!!
you answered yourself , how can civilians be dump enough to hide next to a rocket launching site in that brutal war , where everything is a target? so that is an evidence that israeli's propaganda is a lie , very clear

please continue with the additional details :

I think it was. We now know (and our leaders knew at the time) that Iraq did not possess WMDs. Thus, Saddam was not an imminent threat. Some have suggested that his removal destabilized the entire region. In hindsight, l wonder whether this was a smart thing to do. I guess that I come down on the side that it's never smart to start a war predicated on a lie because, eventually, the people find out about the lie and it destroys morale and erodes support for the war.

Serious Q and I certainly don't mean to trivialise the sacrifice that they make..

More along the lines of which soldier is braver.. the one who fires smart weapons from an increasingly safer distance who has technologically greater strength or one on the ground? What constitutes heroism/bravery.. it is used so often it is now almost an empty cliche..

An issue that also troubled Socrates..just wondered what the modern slant on this was?

As an aside - I also note how in days gone by Kings for example would ride with their men into war - politicians now stand well back.. also on the subject of war I think it is interesting to note that governments with more women on the cabinet start and get involved in less wars..

FTR - I am a pacifist too.. lol (yeah yeah - one of those)

I'm sure if they are for the Israel war and the Iraq war then they will say it is good to kill the children. Is this the Bush way? It must be because the USA supports Israel.

'Waiting to Get Blown Up'
Some Troops in Baghdad Express Frustration With the War and Their Mission

By Joshua Partlow
Washington Post.
Thursday, July 29, 2006;

BAGHDAD, July 29 Army Staff Sgt. Jose Sixtos considered the simple question about morale for more than an hour. But not until his convoy of armored Humvees had finally rumbled back into the Baghdad military base, and the soldiers emptied the ammunition from their machine guns, and passed off the bomb-detecting robot to another patrol, did he turn around in his seat and give his answer.

"Think of what you hate most about your job. Then think of doing what you hate most for five straight hours, every single day, sometimes twice a day, in 120-degree heat," he said. "Then ask how morale is."

Capt. Mike Comstock says the war is not worth the lives of USA soldiers. We are not going to win and we are fighting for nothing. The troops over here know this and we want to go home. The war is based on lies.

Allow it to happen?
Or defend itself as Isreal has?
Resulting in civilian casulties?

34 children among 56 dead in Israeli strike By K GANNON, Associated Press.
QANA, Lebanon - Israeli missiles hit several buildings in a southern Lebanon village as people slept Sunday, killing at least 56, most of them children, in the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting. President Bush said this is the proud American way. We are happy about that.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said "This is great " for the airstrikes but blamed Hezbollah guerrillas for using the area to launch rockets at Israel, and said he would not halt the army's operation. "We hope to kill more" he said.

The Lebanese Red Cross said the airstrike in Qana, in which at least 34 children were killed, pushed the overall death toll to more than 500. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice postponed a visit to Lebanon in a setback for diplomatic efforts to end hostilities. She was to return to the U.S. Monday..

Bush said this was the way it is going to be. We will not stop. No matter what.

As a combat veteran myself, I thought it was an outrageous lie! I was not a Marine, but, while serving in the 82d Airborne, I had the opportunity to train with, and observe Marines in action. In no experience of mine would ANY soldier or Marine, behave the way those actors portraying our young men in uniform did! I thought it was disgusting, irresponsible, and disrespectful; especially to our men serving in harm's way.
