No, I do not believe that any wars have been stopped because of the opinion of the people. Some may argue Vietnam was such a case but in my humble opinion, the government made it seem that way to save face after such a big national disaster. What the protesters did was to simply pressure the government to do it a little bit sooner than they would have anyway and making people believe that as a government, it actually listened to it's voters!

Vietnam at first it mostly fell on deaf ears was thought of as unpatriotic as our government lied to us about what was going on over there then over time the people learned the truth that took about ten years and thousands of lives its similar to whats going on today but its also different in that they did attack us what i mean by they is terrorist not Iraq our troops being over there uses up resources of the terrorist fighting us over there rather then having them fly more planes into buildings or what ever over here that where its different in this war where its the same people die and suffer on both sides and always have since man has been making war

For the most part. Usually there are underlying reasons for war that the government doesn't have to tell us about. Vietnam was the only war we were involved in that popular opinion made the government pull out of the war.

The march became in basic terms between the extra to return. The riots have been via a handful, yet those will advance with the aid of fact the cuts to our centers and pay packets keeps. however the main effectual voice has nonetheless to be heard - Union strikes and business action. this is this which will deliver a pair of downfall of the government. The atypical march won't exchange the minds of the deaf politicians, yet strikes in public centers basically might turn the warmth on the coalition and tension yet another election quicker that predicted.

No. But there have been many people killed because the protesters encouraged the enemy to keep fighting.
Iraq is an example of this.
