34 children among 56 dead in Israeli strike By K GANNON, Associated Press.
QANA, Lebanon - Israeli missiles hit several buildings in a southern Lebanon village as people slept Sunday, killing at least 56, most of them children, in the deadliest attack in 19 days of fighting. President Bush said this is the proud American way. We are happy about that.

Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said "This is great " for the airstrikes but blamed Hezbollah guerrillas for using the area to launch rockets at Israel, and said he would not halt the army's operation. "We hope to kill more" he said.

The Lebanese Red Cross said the airstrike in Qana, in which at least 34 children were killed, pushed the overall death toll to more than 500. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice postponed a visit to Lebanon in a setback for diplomatic efforts to end hostilities. She was to return to the U.S. Monday..

Bush said this was the way it is going to be. We will not stop. No matter what.

Foreign policy / Militarily speaking there hasn't been a good day for the U.S. since 2000.

Every day is a great day for America. If you choose to dwell on propaganda and jealousy then it's a bad day for you. What great contributions has Hezbollah made to mankind? Have they found a cure for an incurable disease? Have they invented anything of value to humanity? Have they put man on the moon? In 1962, I came here as a six year old refugee from a dictatorship. The proudest day of my life was the day I was granted citizenship of this great country. I thank God every day for for that gift. And this is to Mac, I'm a liberal -- so don't let people divide us into cons and libs. We're all Americans and should work together.

An Excellent day!!!!!!!!!

I really feel that the day is coming soon when the Lebanese people will realise that the hezbollah are taking advantage of them by using them as human shields and its not working.

Terrorists must be dealt with by extreme force!! We will honor and memorialize the innocents who were forced to die for for the good of the Lebanese nation!

How long must we wait for a brave Lebanese man, woman, or child to aim their rifle, pistol, or rocket launcher at the terrorist sitting in their home????

No, this is not a good day. Israel are not targeting women and children. It's all an accident. On the other hand, Hezbollah are targeting women and children because they are cowards and won't fight the Israeli army.

This is one of those days similar to 11/9. Those by terrorists and this one is by a State supported by duly elected Government, the largest Democracy in the world. One should not have conscience of convenience but conscience of conviction. May the soul rest in peace.

Bush didn't do it, the Israelis did via Hizbollah provocation and Lebanese disinterest in controlling their own territory.

As far as it being a good day, there hasn't been one in a long time.

You are completely misquoting and rewriting that article yet attributing it as the words of someone else. That's grounds for a lawsuit, you know that right?
