Alright, so people are getting pretty rude about me standing up for what I believe in. Telling me I'm wrong for entitling my opinion, and saying I support the war that is happening. I do admit, I am scared that this war will never end, but for someone to sit there and say that there is no point to this, that our men and women are dying for no reason. Then people making fun of the Military?I dare someone who makes fun of our Military to go up to a mother of a fallen troop and make out of the line comments about the military, I mean the families of our troops pray to god every night and hope that there son or daughter isnt killed, pray that their husband will get to be a father to his baby, pray that the next Christmas, they will be able to open presents under a tree with them.We sit here and mock our military, say there nothing but brainwashed idiots, but let me ask you something, Did you fight for your country yesterday,or did you sit on your a** while someone else did?God Bless them.

I need some dicipline. I'm ridiculously shy and i don't go out and talk to people cause i'm extremely shy and too imbarrassed to talk.I'm 17, everytime my teacher talks to me, i get red and imbarrassed, and she's only talking to me cool. Anyways, i wanna join the military and don't think that's the reason i'm joining, but it is one reason. I hear the Air Force treats their people good and that Training is easy. Does that mean i'll be the same guy once i come out??
I'm joining to serve my country.
But i just wanna know if it will change me.

I know there is no draft, and won't be one unless WWIII and WWIV both break out in Canada or Mexico at the same time. But, imagine if there were one, and a bunch of draftees skip out of the country. I think that since they decided to refuse the responsibilities of citizenship, theirs should be permanently revoked. What do you think?

Thank You

Anyways, how is the Army life? does it suck? rough?
I'm joining to serve my country, get some dicipline cause i'm so ridiculously shy and won't talk to nobody cause i'm too imbarrassed. Then i wanna get a career as a Mechanic. Oh, and i wanna work out and get buff..lol
Are those good reasons to join??
Will i be able to keep in touch with my family often?

If u don't think i should join the Army, what branch do you recommend and why?

Question is asked because, Japan wanted nothing to do with a war after the (2) 2 bombs were dropped. I feel that if we stop fighting a war, based on morality against a foe that has none, and start putting they'er women and children in body bags, that this might end very quickly. Ever heard of low level Nuke warhead ? Think if we just leveled Iraq, with one, then let Syria, Iran, North Korea and the rest of the enemy know we are actually serious about "ALL MEANS" including these weapons, that the tide would change in a heartbeat. How about sailing a rocket over japan to N. Korea and letting it drop 100 miles or so off the coast ? Think that would get attention ? There is enough weapons on (1) one of the (7) seven aircraft carriers to end this war in less then a week. Thank God I am not President.

USA are necessary in the world, only USA are able to fight whit terrorist, beceause Europa is weak. We don't have good army and gov. The people are scared(especialy after terrorist atack in Madrid when in Spain won Zapattero)

I think that war is essential beceause GB in 1933 also didn't want war.

I am sorry but my english is wery weak (I am learning english in this holiday)

united states is supporting the killings and destructions in palestine. it shows support hundred percent, why? a democratic country should not behave this way. solution has to be found for this problem rather than allowing this massacre to continue and that is the reason why most of muslim countries consider us as their enermy. we invade iraq saying that we are there to fight their freedom, and on the other hand we did not make any attempt to rescue palestinians from the doom. is it true that we are fighting to free people, or it is something else? if it is true, we should free these people from the hand of isreal. if this did not happen, so it is lie, we are not fighting to free iraqis and afganistan people, it may be for different reason.

I'm writing letters to troops deployed overseas, but I'm not sure what a good way to start is. These are people who are complete strangers to me, and while I'm usually quite witty and funny, I'm a bit at a loss as to what I could write about...Any suggestions? SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY PLEASE!!

Recevied an e-mail regarding Target's shocking lack of any corporate responsibiltiy towards active militay employees, vetrans and refusing to even allow the marines to collect Toys for Tots--which benefits children--not the military! THis French-owned business should be outed in a big way to expose their policies. While they may have a right to them in this country, the citizens deserve to know. I wonder what the Target corporation does in France? Do they feel that if war was to break out in the US they do not need protection. How to Help fight apathy in the corporate world!

The middle east is a breeding ground for terrorists. I don't see the problem in the U.S. going in and trying to stop the disease of terrorism. The only antidote is 1 of two things: the presents of Democracy or the abolishment of Religion....your thougts.
