In case you don't feel like going there...

Second in command of Iraqi Airforce under Saddam. Claims the WMD's were flown to Syria just prior to the invasion by the US. If you don't believe it, that's fine, you just wanna hate Bush as best as you can.

Love it.

I was just curious what the physical requirements are for getting in to the Army National Guard? Like do you have to do the same Basic training that the Army does (I've found those requirements for sit-ups, push-ups, and running).... How exactly does the process work? You sign up, then what? Do you go to training for a couple months or something?

Thanks!

Patriots?

A question for you Chicken Hawks about Patriotism...

A band like the Dixie Chicks expresses their opinion of GWB, an opinion shared by almost 50% of the American People at the time, and they are shunned, bouycoted, and threatened......another entertainer, say, Toby Keith, who has never spent a day in uniform except when he wears fatigues and his cowboy hat prancing around on stage, makes Millions of $$$$ singing Flag Waving Chest Thumping songs that please and entertain the Sheep.

Who's the Patriot, the Dixie Chicks who voiced their opinion, which is their right under the Constitution, or Toby Keith who joined the long list of Profiteers who have made the "most" from Bush's War?

I just recently bought it on DVD and started watching it. From what I have seen so far it is a great show and it has really opened my eyes to what our military faces in hostile places. Also I have heard of another show/documentary, that was actually filmed by National Guardsmen. Has anyone heard about this or when and if it is out on DVD?

If there was a neuclear war, would we be doomed, or be saved by our own actions and thinking, and screwing the president's decisions? Or, would we be killed in an instant and along with alot of other countries?

I'm writing letters to troops overseas and someone suggested a post a question that lets me compile the sentiments of others to send with my letters. Since I thought this was a great idea, I'm encouraging anyone to post a message of thanks and appreciation to our troops. PLEASE DO NOT MAKE ANY POLITICAL COMMENTS - this is intended only as a message of support and encouragement. Thank You!

I was so embarassed. It was a 4th of July highlight feature on the news and they actually gave reasons like:
highest rate of obesity
lowest opinion of political leader
etc....and all of this with smiles, candor, and festivities. I'm thinking....Oh my God it's only a matter of time before the right country discovers how to overtake us and we'd have no defense other than weapons. That's my question.....besides weapons, what defense does the US have against a purposeful hostile take over??? Anyone?

My uncle served in the Royal Navy during WW2. He once showed me his discharge papers and they listed his last unit as being HMS Odyssey, however neither Janes nor the web appears to have a reference to this elusive ship/shore establishment. Has anyone heard of this?

I am a military dependant. I'm having a horrible time getting an appointment with the on base dermatologist. It's taken over two months just to get an appointment scheduled, and it isn't for another five weeks from now. I have asked for an off base referral, due to the long waiting time and have been refused. I used to be active duty and remember the "tricare standards of care" which said you should be able to be seen for urgent care in 24hrs, routine 7 days, physicals 3 weeks and specialists 28 days. I always thought that if they couldn't fit you in in those time frames they had to let you go off base? Am I wrong here? Isn't 90+ days a little absurd to wait for an appointment? Do I have any recourse in making them let me go off base (without having to pay 100% myself)? The appointment is for an ongoing condition and I don't want to have to wait this long everytime I need treatment.
