At the current rate of progress in Iraq, the number of our troops killed will soon exceed the death toll for Sept. 11. Then, having demonstrated that we can beat the terrorists at their own game, can we all come home?

a few months ago i read a question asked on here saying will United States and North Korea go to war? Majority answered no. NIf you said no before thinking that they wouldnt go to war what is your answer now. This is only aimed for people who said no when tensions started to rise.

I recently watched the movie TAPS (Book – Father Sky). It was the saddest movie I ever saw. I was wondering, is the depiction of the students loving (to the point of fighting for it) (some died trying to save it) their school in the movie at all realistic or is it just Hollywood? I always thought that military school was somewhere where “troublemakers” went to be punished. The movie is making me wonder about weather there is actually more to it than a first thought. Do military schools actually help train people to be leaders?

To those who have seen the movie:
If this were to actually happen would you support the school closing or staying open? Would you try to help the situation?

I am really confused reading some of your questions about him. I mean is he the antichrist and reincarnation of Hitler, Stalin, and Mao in one evil package or a bumbling idiot? Because somehow I doubt he can be both. I personally believe you hate being outsmarted by and "idiot."

Why Iraq and not Darfur? There is no doubt the genocide in Darfur is worse than what the Iraqi people went though. We now know there was no immediate threat to the US from Iraq. Seems like either they have nothing to gain from Darfur so they are ignoring it, OR, they really just honestly just messed up by acting on false intelligence and don't have the resources to help Darfur because they are obliged to stay in Iraq now. I realize other countries and the UN need to step up too, but since the US was so willing to act without the UN before, shouldn't one of the worse genocides since WWII evoke swift action? Bush has repeatedly said the US is there to help the world, yet he ignores Darfur. What do you think?

It has been more than 60 years since the end of the Secon World War... I'm "pretty" sure Japan is not going to randomly invade countries anymore... Is Germany allowed a full army? If so isn't that just being hypocritical?

Or maybe everyone is scared that Japan will have so much technology readily available for warfare?

Thank you

Dubya and his puppeteers policies go way back :-

"Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country"

I think NK is going to try to bomb the u.s, do you think this will happen, and if it does what will the u.s. do about it?

I think with what is happening in the Middle East, a county like Israel is only going to take it for so much longer before they say "Enough is enough, this latest bomb attack is the last straw" and then they launch a devastating nuclear attack. I think we're closer than during the Cold War to seeing nukes used.

We attacked Iraq. So why is President Bush not attacking North Korea? Korea is more of a threat than Iraq. They have a mad man in N. Korea so what is Bush waiting for?

While I spent 11 years in the Navy I noticed a trend. Many people from lands other than the US joined the U.S. Military. Most of these people did it not because of a lotality to the U.S. But because of money. Many would send paychecks home to suppport their family and economy. If they spend 20 years in they could receive retirement about $1500 per month. In many countries this would be like getting a $6,000 pay check in America.
When they are finished with a 20 year job. "by the way active duty people rarely go to war" I spend 11 years active and never went to any hot spots. They can relocate to a Non US land and still receive the full amount of a military retirement. This of course comes from our Taxes.

When only 5000 people do this, Our US of A send's $90 million per year to support the temporary patriot.

Is this a loop hole that should be closed?
Is this ethical behavior?
Is this helping or hurting America's Welfare?

War is always ugly but if it comes to making a stand then the U.S. has to be consistent.

North Korea is flaunting their missile tests to the world and everyone just sits back.

If the U.S. was serious about attacking Iraq only because of the weapons they may have then why isn't the U.S. taking out North Korea for the weapons they do have? Am I missing something?
