Freedom ain't free like many liberals think. Evidently, the liberals put a cheap price on freedom, but you'll know about their "freedom of speech".
I've wondered why liberals loved communism. I think they think freedom is cheap. They'd surrender it in an instant.

Spend whatever it takes, but btw your numbers are way out of whack. The libs always do this when they protest a war. They take the full amount spent and say see! see! look at how much we are spending!
Guess what the bulk of the expense, is to pay our soldiers salaries. Guess what? They get paid irregardless of whether or not they are at war.
Besides Constitutionally speaking defense is one of the fews things the Federal government SHOULD be spending money on? I bet you would rather spend some more on welfare, or some other lame entitlement.
Did you know we spend 28 billion a month on Medicare alone?
And the annual spending for that will increase from 333 billion, to 445 billion over the next couple years. Thats over 37 billion a month on JUST ONE ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM.
But God forbid we spend a measley 8 billion to free a country, protect ourselves and set the entire Middle East on a path to peace.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Sometimes you cannot tell until events play themselves out. Your question implies a very poor understanding of different situations and a very narrow view of the Iraq war. Your question has little meaning. If you were sought after by the German Gestapo of WWII would you think it a good idea? Or perhaps a citizen of London during the firebombing?? Perhaps you would roll over and play dead as France did? Maybe you would have let the US split in 1861 or worse yet keep the US under British rule?

DO YOU THINK ITS A GOOD IDEA TO LIVE IN A FREE COUNTRY THAT YOU TAKE FOR GRANTED?? At what price would you put on freedom? I fought, i lost many of friends and im glad to have helped stop what might have been another Hitler 20 years down the road.
The U.S. may not be perfect, but it sure beats any other country

Obviously not. Especially when it is a war that is doing the opposite of what it is supposed to do. Supposed to make us safer, creating more terrorists. Supposed to bring stability in the form of democracy to the region, adding more chaos to the region. Not only that, but it is 8 billion dollars we don't even have!!! Our children will pay this debt for their entire lives. Disgraceful!

nah.. Spend that $ on internal economic infastructure and get a surplus of trillions. Zero budget, reduction of funding and assets to porkbarrel legislation. If you need more info, talk to your econ prof or study a econ 101 book.
