My husband asked that. He is upset because a govt contractor asked him to do some work on very short notice, then as another favor, had him do the work as a sub to another contractor. No one asked for a bid and there were no specifications. He installed aerial temporary electrical service between a generator and two rental trailers. An aerial installation was necessary to keep from having a tripping hazard at a fire exit. The job was less than $2500, including over $1000 worth of materials. After the work was finished, we sent a bill to the contractor who hired us, and he in turn sent the bill to the govt. contractor. The govt contractor's rep called my husband and told him that the work should have cost $260 and he should have rented him the wiring for $20. This was two rental buildings connected to a 50 KW gnerator: you can't exactly use extension cords to run the medical equipment. What recourse do we have as a sub of a sub to a government medical contractor.
