With the advent of in fighting between the different factions of Muslims in Iraq not willing to share operation of the new government and the drug lords in Afghanistan's choke hold on that country, how do we get out now without creating the appearance that we made a mistake in the first place?

My brother recently went to the local Navy recruiter, and was told that if he were to be deployed, he would serve overseas for only 6 months every 3 years. (I know that recruiters are going to tell you what you want to hear, not necessarily if it's the truth).

The thing I having a problem with is that my friend's boyfriend is in the Navy, and is constantly being sent back onverseas just 2 months after he gets home. He says that isn't the way it works.

Is her boyfriend right or is the recruiter right? Or is it that the recruiter is right, but the boyfriend keeps signing up to go on missions for a little extra money?

I served with VMAQ-3 from 1997 until 2001. I am trying to find out when the F/A18G will be put into service, but I can't seem to find anything. Anyone in the Prowler community, Navy or Marines, heard anything about it?

I know a soldier who is just going back for a second tour in Iraq. He told me about the regular family's there who are friendly to the American soldiers but others are hostile because they have lost innocent family members in the bombings. We don't hear anything about that on the news.

I have just returned from my vacation in England, and I can not beleive how they treated Americans!!

They wouldn't let me pay in dollars!
They speak a silly language when I spoke in American, and do not understand real American ..but instead insist on speaking some silly foreign language!!!!
They refuse to thank our president!!!!
Or sing the plegde of alegience!
And when I tried to fly the Stars and Stripes from Buckingham Palace, I was arrested and made to spend the night in prison!!!!

Whenever I read another article about this story I am so apalled at the actions of these men. They premeditated the rape of a 15 year old girl and then killed her and her family. I bet a countless number of fanatics will sign up to be suicide bombers because of this and many many more innocent people will die because of the actions of these soldiers. When we are trying to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people and put an end to the senseless violence, these soldiers who represent the US just set us back to being murderers in the minds of the Iraqis.

I say we forget about putting them in an American jail. We should just give them up to the Iraqis and let the Iraqi people do whatever they want with them.

There was a programme on the other night about how the american troops react to being shot at they panic and dont do it the perfessional way and shot at civilians and booted cars to stop them

When the british got shot at they stayed calm and called for air assistance and and then they could move on but with the yanks oh no they **** themselves and even an american general admitted that the british are better trained and if americans went through british training they would die of exhaustion
