I think that unless just about everyone turned against the U.S. we would probably win another world war. There'd be great losses, though, and the U.S. would probably have to reinstate the draft to get it all done.
As for who would be on our side, it depends on how the war started. If some other country started the war and we chose a side and fought, we'd probably end up with much of the E.U. and Japan, Australia, New Zealand, similar to the first and second, except Germany and Austria would probably be on our side too. That's just probably, though. If the U.S. chose the other side, we could be with China, North Korea, and more of the "bad" countries that everyone is always upset with.
If we started the war with someone else, I think just about everyone would be against us, because right now, none of the populations of the countries like us and most of those country's leaders would want to keep them happy, and alot of the leaders of countries don't like us either. Maybe England would be on our side, but not many more and probably none of the other main military forces of today. But that's just my opinion.
I really hope we don't have another world war, though, cause if we did, there'd be soooo much destruction and each country, even alot of those who weren't involved, would lose many many people. I think it would be alot like that girl who referred to the bible said. Everyone against everyone, end of the world, etc. At least, toward the end.

Not with the present mindset of the american public!
They do not have the backbone, the military has the men and equipment to get the job done, but the american public could not stomach the losses that we would incurr.
can you imagine the news media reporting D-Day today??? all those needless deaths to do what free some country, and all they did was land on the beaches of normady that day.

if we keep the strategic nuclear powers on our side, we'll survive, if not, then mutually assured destruction will occur. In a nuclear war, the only true enemy is war itself.

it all depends on who's on our side. i would have to say maybe europe, japan and china, maybe canada and mexico, who really knows, but war sucks, like the song says, WAR, what is it good for, absolutely nothing.
