I believe that as ever the British Forces in Iraq are doing their job to the best of their ability. Perhaps if given the correct equipment then they would be able to do it to a higher level, but they're still out there day by day doing an excellent job. I believe they're trying to rebuild and connect with the Iraqis then our allied counterparts.
As to whether they should be there at all? No. The war is Iraq is based on lies, greed and power primarily from the man and his cronies in The White House. Since the allied forces are there they should continue to establish better infrastructure, lives and everything else in Iraq - rebuild what they destroyed. Only when that is done should they pull out.

Depends on what aspect you are looking at.
The troops in theatre are doing a magnificent job given they do not have sufficient numbers for the task. Lack equipment, and adequate supply chain and the fact the politicians keep lying about the fact the have put British troops into a situation in woefully insufficient numbers with an invisible back up.
Absolutely tremendous job from the troops.
Disastrous job by the politicians.
So definitive answer is that no they are not doing a good job, they are doing everything they can to do their best in a situation they are not equipped to deal with because of the politicians.
Our lads are more than good - they are superb!! We need to put pressure on the politicians to provide the troops and equipment needed.

Yes and so are the Yanks.
We all want them home but not until the job is done and Iraq has a stable government.

British forces are the best trained in the world! They are doing an excellent job in exceptional circumstances. Very proud of them all! (I'll get a kick in the *** if i don't mention the exceptional work also carried out by civilian contractors)

i do not think we are doing a good job. then again, i dont think being in the army or being a soldier is a good job. they are trained to be desensitized to killing - can that be a good thing? there has also been many allegations of rape, needless murder and torture. the thing which i dislike most of all, however, is that it will always be individual soldiers who take the rap for what they have done. although i do not respect these individuals who have commited such heinous crimes, i think it is their superiors, all the way to the top, who should pay the price. many soldiers are just young boys who have been trained to act that way.

They are doing a fantastic job however I dont think they should be there. It is time that Iraq was left alone to try and establish itself.

I am strongly opposed to the decision to invade Iraq. However. The UK and US troops in the field are turning in their usual professional performance.
