Why can't all these politicians who are so quick to talk about the scarifice of ordinary men and women, send their own (politicians')children to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan? Do you think it is fair that only a few children of politicians fight in wars while a large majority of citizens are told to send their children or only child off to war?

My boyfriend is soon to be deployed to Iraq and since I always want to have a place in his heart (hehe!)- I've been thinking about a list of things to send him over the course of his year-long tour. I know that he's not a big fan of junk food, so that's not really an option. There has to be some experienced care-packagers out there, so if you have any tips, let me know!

Multiple reports from captured Iraqis loyal to Saddam say they have been. There was a lot of time between the departure of the IAEA to the point of invasion, in which they could have easliy accomplished this. I don't know if I believe it or not. What do you think?

I might get out because I am pregnant, I have been in only for a year, don't start yelling at me because you do not know the reasons, nor the circumstances. Since they have been taking $100 dollars each month for the GI bill, do I get that now, or if I get out, do I get no educational benefits?

Less than 1% of the people make decisions which affect the other 99%. Too often these decisions involve violence or defense against violence. What are the main reasons weapons are manufactured? Could that money be better spent(or given!) to help people? How many global issues could be resolved peacefully if those funds were diverted to PRODUCTIVE endeavors? How much could the global quality of life improve if every country devoted those funds to help its own people?

Over 3000 people, make that civilians, from many different countries; were crushed and burned to death by Arab murderers.
WHILE THEY WERE AT WORK MINDING THEIR OWN BUSINESS, How would you like to die on the job ?
Many were children, read the list of women and little children on those airplanes.
Americans, especially the Democratic party menbers, seems to take the attitude of - Oh, that was a long time ago, its not relevant today -its not nice to think about, those nice people didn't really mean it- I forgive them. WHAT GIVES?

My husband served on an LST in the Navy in VietNam from 1964 - 1968 but never applied for benefits thru the VA. He died of lung cancer at 59 in 2005. I've been told by the service officer at the American Legion here in OK. that had he applied prior to his death he would have been eligible but because he did not the only benefit I'm entitled to is a widow's pension and it is only if I'm destitute and make less than approx. $500 a month. Is it not possible to apply for benefits AFTER a veteran's death?
