I don't mean any particular war, I mean War in general. When did War start, how did it start, why did it start? What keeps it going? Can we overcome it?

Wars have been around lonnger than anyone person can pinpoint .. Sibbling Riveley started it and man kind is power hungry and someone always thinks that there point of view is always right therefore as long as we have free wills there will alway be somekind of wars and conflicts... War has been around since the start of written history ....

When the caveman threw the rock at the other caveman most probably.
In fact no I reckon it was even before man had evolved. Chimpanzees fight wars between different groups in the forest, I saw it on tv. So war probably started in a common ancestor we evolved from.
