Whenever I read another article about this story I am so apalled at the actions of these men. They premeditated the rape of a 15 year old girl and then killed her and her family. I bet a countless number of fanatics will sign up to be suicide bombers because of this and many many more innocent people will die because of the actions of these soldiers. When we are trying to win the hearts and minds of the Iraqi people and put an end to the senseless violence, these soldiers who represent the US just set us back to being murderers in the minds of the Iraqis.

I say we forget about putting them in an American jail. We should just give them up to the Iraqis and let the Iraqi people do whatever they want with them.

I never said that they shouldn't be given a fair trial. If and when they are found guilty then they should be dealt with. The worst part of this situation is that many more of the "good guy" American soldiers will be killed because Iraqi fanatics will feel that justice has not been served and this will breed more terrorism against Americans. Didn't you notice how much the violence increased after the whole torture pictures came out last year? These 5 soldiers will now be responsible for the deaths of more Americans when more Iraqis sign up to be suicide bombers to kill Americans because of the rape and murder of one of their own.

Baby, you're absolutely right in feeling what you're feeling. It's a shame that there are people in the US military(and in the civilian sector as well!) actually doing what others are trying to fight..terrorism. Those young men need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law, and if that means death, then let it be. What they've done was horrendous and inexcusable. Just pray for the soldiers, sailors, and other military and civilian personnel that are trying to do the right thing. They need all of our prayers right about now.

Disgusting beyond belief. Those soldiers are real animals, and they bring disgrace on all the good and humane soldiers in the US Army. They are murders, rapists, AND traitors to the USA, because they have damaged their country's image.

Unfortunately, their behavior is not so surprising. "In every barrel, there are a few rotten apples."
Probably things like this have happened in many wars, but were not reported.

As for leaving them to Iraqi justice -- that would be like saying that the USA is not really responsible for these soldiers, so the USA doesn't have to deal with them.

The USA cannot escape responsibility so easily, and must step up and say, "We're responsible, because we did not screen our soldiers well enough, or we did not run enough psych tests, etc. Therefore, we will try these soldiers and mete out a suitable punishment."

And don't forget that they still have the right to a trial before punishment. Innocent until proven guilty, even if the evidence seems overwhelming.

If they are proven to be guilty, then I believe they deserve execution. I think it's apalling what some of the supposed "good guys" have done, including the abuse and murder of Iraqi prisoners of war. It's an embarassment for those of us who truly want an end to the violence and hatred.

They should stand trial and be sentenced accordingly if found guilty. I'm a conservative and I hope they wind up in front of judge who doesn't just send them to jail for 60 days like the liberal judge did in the rape case of a 7 year old girl.

You need to calm down and think rationally. It would also be nice to see this sort of outrage when crimes such as this is committed here in our own country.

They should go on trial, have their day in court and get their verdict.

The press often skews a story and doesn't give the whole truth. Since you weren't there...and neither was I...we don't really know what actually happened or the circumstances. To pass judgement without all the facts is to show ignorance. Don't jump on the 'stupid' bandwagon. It's quite full as it is.

I think that they should be tried in a civilian court in the United States.

They should not be turned over to the Iraqi's
To turn them over, would ensure that they will be executed.
Half of us Americans are tired of all the killing, yet we are willing to give five of our young people over to a group af personalities who live by the sword. They have no compassion. They will probably kill the girls relatives because she brought shame upon them.

What about our two soldiers who were taken prisoner, and then executed and their mutilated bodies found on the street.
Where is their justice????

I demand that the Iraqii government find the Iraqi citizens responsible for that and turn them over to the United States courts. NOW!!!!!!!!!

For any citizen of the United States who feels that there may not be mitigating circumstances in this rape case, IE: Stress, Fatigue etc.etc. Stand up and say you are positive these boys are truly murderers, and evil to the bone.
If there might be a hint of reasonable doubt, then bring them to our civilian court system.

How can you be so willing to condem them to having their heads chopped off. You are a bunch of sick *****.

What about what that John Couey guy did to that little girl in Florida? That Judge is making sure that he gets a fair trial, does he deserve one?

And I am sure that if those boys were your kids, or family, you wouldn't be so quick to have them tortured and killed by those sick Muslim *********.

They should be given the same fair trial that any other person accused of rape and murder is. Their sentences should also be the same of someone found guilty of rape and murder in this country.

They committed crimes against Iraqis and should be tried by Iraqi courts and judged according to Iraqi law. That's what happens in a democracy. Isn't that what we're claiming to be pushing over there?

Assuming the trial is over and they in fact are guilty.

According to the law in the Bible you should kill them.

In Mosaic Law the rape is punishable by death. By killing the perverts we destroy the desire to commit such atrocities.

I think it only takes a few public executions to make the perverts reconsider their antisocial desires.
