Military - June 2006

One of the reasons I ask is because I'm going down for a military entrance exam in about 2 weeks - but I have a problem. My girlfriend likes to get a little kinky in bed and the other night she used one of her toys on me... Not exactly something I'm proud of now, but you know how it goes when you're drunk and caught up in the moment.... ahem.. anyway, will the doctor be able to tell that this happened to me? If so, will they tell me I can't join if they think I'm gay? Maybe I could just explain what happened if he somehow notices.. I'd hate to be denied entrance into the military because of something that silly.

My ex-husband has been gone for over 2 years and has left no real information here for his 10 year old son. I would like to get some information about his service in the Marine Corps and his medals, etc for my son. I found a copy of his DD214, but don't know if there is a way for me to get any information.

I would say President George Washington because he was in the military at a very your age and he was able to stand up to the military of the British Empire and he and his men were able to defeat at that the the Strongest and most Powerfulest Military in the World and I believe that if it was not for Washington service as leader of the Continential Army, the American Revolution may have not been taken place.

I want to know the reasoning of the people who dont want the war in Iraq to continue. Lets say you guys win, everybody from Iraq is pulled out. As well as the rest of the countries. I think that it would take Taliban and Al Queida about 35 seconds to retake all the middle east. And we know what happens next, one of our planes is brought down so what do we do???? We start a war that everybody seems to be for untill we get there. So why re-elect the arguably best president ever just to say he sucks? I want to hear why you oppose this war.

I am coming up on 7 years in the Navy, and its time for the big fork in the road, "should I stay or should I go?". My wife is currently pregnant with our first child which is due in Oct. Part of me wants to get out and go gov contracting, but the other side of me wants to finish my 13 and get my retirement pay/benefits. The upside to getting out is spending time with my wife and newborn (being there for the little moments). The downside to getting out is the unceartainty of job stability (thereby struggling to support the fam). Now the upside to staying in is the benefits for me and my fam, and retirement at an early age (41). The downside to staying in would be being away from my family 6 months at a time. So from looking at this situation which move is the right move? Advice is greatly appreciated. Side note, regardless of your view of Bush and the war please dont respond with negativity, you're entitled to your opinions that I fight for, but this is about me not Bush and the war.

Unlike the majority of you outspoken anti-war turds, I went to Iraq, saw quite a bit of fighting, and came back alive. With that said, I will say joining the military is still a good thing and we are doing good things over there despite the efforts of the enemy. So until you go over there and stop listening to others tell you what it is really like you can all STFU while I ask real people this question:

I'm seventeen and I am thinking about joining the military for no other reason then to serve the country that has done so much for me. However my mother doesn't take me seriously all she sees is a pathetic little girl. However I see different I know I can make it through training. A war? Well it would be ridiculous to say I know that I could make it through that yet I am willing to try. People tend to think the worst so that when something happens its never as bad as we thought. A war is the only thing that is and will be more horrible then anyone could ever imagine. I would like to know the pros and cons of joining the military. Death is something I do not fear. So don't even bother putting that down as a con.

Is the Us treating other people's lives as something to be paid for after killing them and paying a disgraceful amount at that, is that the country that supports human rights and who are the terrorist. How come you put people in Guantanamo even before they are proven guilty, isn't that a violation of human rights and if they are enemy combatants, what happen to the Geneva convention, is it selective as and when convenient by the Us . Aren't there any human right activist left in the Us or are they only forcing it on others who are weak and the poor. Where are the WMDs and is the country safe from cowboys who have no conscience, remember the MAI LAI INCIDENT? Great show of hypocrisy America. Answer with some dignity and see your greatness in bullying others into submission but if it has gone down the gutter like the other values that was so proudly expounded by the Us, then pls don't bother answering.

He didn't say much. He just sat there with a thousand yead stare all red eyed. He was talking to himself sofly....Saying "It wasn't supposed to be like this....I was lied to by my beloved Marines....The enemy is fighting back.....It's not like a video game....I want to go home." With that he hung his head and cried. It was touching to me. I was so sad to watch that.

That might seem like a really harsh question. Would you feel the same way if you lived in Isreal? Amadinahad, the new leader, has made open statements on Iranian TV that "Isreal should be wiped off the map." They were also a problem back in 1980 when they took American hostages. The USA is too chicken to take a side when it comes to the Middle East. That's why I'm against the war. If we were doing anything other than putting on a show, it would have been over in days. I think Uncle Sam should wear Playtex underwear. Were too pantywaist to say that the Muslims have chosen for themselves to be an enemy of the US.

Ok I'm at the point where i'm considering what to do with my life. And joining the Military(not sure which branch yet) is one of my options. Its not the money or college opportunites that I like about the Military,( I have enough money to go to about any college) mostly its prestige. So anyways my question is basically what were your experinces during training, how tough is it really and any info you can give me on it. Also which branch would you recommend, and will a GED cut it?

In 1969 I was told we would win in Vietnam. yes! I was told that by my American Government. At the time the Korean Veterans were telling me we wouldn't win... ( I told them they were crazy because we were and are the most powerful military in the world ) My President said "We will endure! We will not turn our backs on the new Government of Vietnam! etc...Etc...( You know the rest of the "We will get um talk ) Well, I watched the USA cut and run from Vietnam on 30th April 1975 and I will now ask all the people here...."When will we cut and run from Iraq? ( And we will cut and run ). I know......I know.....We hear the President say "We will endure!! We will not turn our backs on the new Government of Iraq!! So I say again....When will we leave Iraq? ( Of course it will be in Defeat ). So when are we going to eat Crow? Any idea??

Mortuaries have become a focal point for families seeking loved ones
The bodies of 6,000 people, most of whom died violently, have been received by Baghdad's main mortuary so far this year, health ministry figures show.
The number has risen every month, to 1,400 in May. The majority are believed to be victims of sectarian killings.

But observers say the real death toll could be much higher. The United states Military isn't doing a very good job. In fact they are part of the problem says the news agency. Most believe the USA will go down in defeat like they did in Vietnam.
