Unlike the majority of you outspoken anti-war turds, I went to Iraq, saw quite a bit of fighting, and came back alive. With that said, I will say joining the military is still a good thing and we are doing good things over there despite the efforts of the enemy. So until you go over there and stop listening to others tell you what it is really like you can all STFU while I ask real people this question:

Why are liberals and closet Communist Clinton affiliates so interested in expressing their political views here?

Amen!!! I am a moderate liberal, but some of the crazy people in here scare me!! also, my spouse is in the marine corps.... so the military is definitely a good thing!

The internet is the quickest way to get your own views known. Its like a chain mail, once you send it to a couple of people, it'll be around to a lot more in a matter of minutes. Just because you want your view heard and that it differs from others does not make the person a communist.
Also, I think a lot of people don't support the war because of what they see on TV, which is not unbiased. I do support the war (which is like committing a crime here in California) because I believe we're doing something good there. I am also reluctant to criticize the effort because I have not been there before and I have not experienced what the soldier does everyday. Unfortunately, I think people don't see that. I don't think people try to see themselves in the soldier's shoes. It is here where we and the politicians are at fault. Some see this as a political war, others an unethical one, and others one that is faulty and should never been engaged in. We see this war as a drain of money, of prominence as a world power, of resources.
But we cannot ignore the horrors of war. We cannot turn away from the images of violence, blood, death. It is these images that provide us sadness or anger or both. Sadness that there are those there to suffer this, anger that there is this violence they must live through. It is an unfortunate fact that war is what JFK says "Unconditional war no longer comes with unconditional victory". We may win this battle in Iraq, but we will all lose something, which is one reason why we all villify war for what it is and what it will always be.

It is one thing to be in favour of war, especially when war never gives a good result. There is no need to be a communist to speak your mind... there are some extreme right wing friends of mine that do not agree with the war at all... and of various nationalities. The thing is all countries in the world concur with the same thought.... why send so many of the young and strong to a place where they will enforce peace but risk their lives when they could use it as professionals and help build a world that does not go to the gun on the first sight of trouble. I´ve seen a bit of action myself... but it really breaks you to see the children suffer... they do not have a bright future... they will remember fire and blood unfortunately for the rest of their lives. Its not communism... it a humanitarian plea. With all that written, I still see your side of the fence and try to understand the nationalism that comes out... but there is a limit.... and no one wins a war.... we all lose... one way or another.

Don't forget the closet hippy driving SUV's and then telling the rest of us about the environment.
The reason they speak their minds here is because we can't really see how mentally challenged they are based on a cartoon avatar. And no one listens to them in their real lives anyway.
I actually enjoy the comedy of their antics. It makes me realize that the politically handicapped should be serving in the military as well as those who give a **** about their country.
These are the people who ***** about the pres and the military when the Pres is Republican, but still fail to enlist when the Pres is a Dem. They care nothing but for themselves.
