In 1969 I was told we would win in Vietnam. yes! I was told that by my American Government. At the time the Korean Veterans were telling me we wouldn't win... ( I told them they were crazy because we were and are the most powerful military in the world ) My President said "We will endure! We will not turn our backs on the new Government of Vietnam! etc...Etc...( You know the rest of the "We will get um talk ) Well, I watched the USA cut and run from Vietnam on 30th April 1975 and I will now ask all the people here...."When will we cut and run from Iraq? ( And we will cut and run ). I know......I know.....We hear the President say "We will endure!! We will not turn our backs on the new Government of Iraq!! So I say again....When will we leave Iraq? ( Of course it will be in Defeat ). So when are we going to eat Crow? Any idea??

It is ironic the way both wars began, and the way they both will end.

Anti-American sentiment, a civil war, and terrorist. will drive us out of Iraq. Col Hackworth used to say when the body bags start piling up. Well they are piling!.

I thought it was quite telling that Bush gave as a time-line of 2009. That is easy for him to say as he won't be president.

I got out of Vietnam (1967) when the escalation was still growing as were the casualties.

The next president will have to pull the troops, and I think that it is sad that he will inherit the mess that this president leaves.

I find it unlikely that Bush will pull them out.because he would have to admit he was wrong, especially if the government folds, Bush would never eat crow! You saw the spin after we could not find any WMD's, which is what 3 major reports said, one prior to us attacking Iraq. I would say Bush may pull a few out but it will be mid 2009 before they come out.

Bush has been bldg permanent US bases from what I hear.

And please!!! Bush threw the Geneva Convention, as well as many others, out the door long ago! And now it's the liberals and newspapers fault. I am sorry but neither started this war so you can keep the guilt trip because you aren't going to lay this one on us!

That wasn't for you K9!

How do you get away with it. I suppose i will have to give you the satisfaction of a descent answer to this Terrorist Propagandists Question. Yes we all know that the Damn Politicians let the US Military Down. This is not Vietnam. This is not the same President That got you into the Vietnam War. This is not the same kind of Fight as with the Vietnam war. You would love to see the same thing happen again. But i am glad to say YOU wont see the same thing again. The Coalition Forces Will Leave Iraq but not in the same Fashion as was Vietnam. This time the troops will leave with pride and dignity. Some of the Politicians might not be so Lucky Though. Sorry crow is not on the Menu this time around.

Air stress! I served as a woman chippie from 88-ninety 3, then went to college on the GI bill. a number of it wasn't common. There weren't as many women serving then, and basically 5 in my entire civil engineering squadron, and that i became the only woman in my save of 35-40 human beings. i became the 1st female they had had as a chippie there. you may think of that this introduced some demanding situations and problems into my existence yet on the full the journey of serving my u . s . a . and the camaraderie and the academic a thank you to artwork demanding have been nicely certainly worth the problems I persevered. i'm no longer in shape now yet i think of the Air stress usually delivers a extra perfect shot at being knowledgeable in something sensible for civilian existence. whether you serve till retirement it is basically 20 years and you will want to do something else, in all hazard without beginning over from scratch.

No you really can't tell me anything! You were failed at the highest levels when you served and for that I am sorry, but to do the same to the service persons that are over there now is shameful. The public may have spit on you when you came home, but that doesn't make it just for you to do the same in this forum. You need to look at your past and remember what it felt like to be ridiculed for serving your country. How can you treat us like you do? It is just an act of lunacy. I am not saying that you have to support the war or President, but to speak about the troops like you do... it's just moronic.

The liberals have already destroyed the American ability to fight a real war, ( since it means killing people) the war was lost as soon as the first news crew was allowed in the county, and the first enemy was given any rights beyond that of an enemy soldier.

blah,blah,blah..... get a job at the P.O and shot people then turn the gun on yourself... you are not the only Vietnam Vet...and you did know how to read....so you have no one to blame but yourself for where you are today.
There are plenty of Nam Vets who are doing well..they even support or troops....and show them the honor & respect their deserve....they hate people like you slamming our troops...if you remember ...we were taken out of Nam because a new president was elected....so be mad at him...and leave the poor troops out of your beef with that president...just because you had negative Vets ditching you doesn't mean you should carry on the abuse...break the cycle..go out and enjoy the country you served instead of thinking of the past....move on..go forward with your life....many have done it.....
Guess I'll pray harder for you than the troops....you need it more than they do !!
Lord have mercy on you for being so cruel & merciless with all the cruel, nasty questions to our fine troops !!

Obviously you are more scarred than the true fighting force of today...how many times did you wet yourself hoping to be sent home quickly? You need to stop watching left wing FOX news and truly... get a life.

No, you can't tell me anything.

I read the question, asking if you can tell me something, and I answered it. I don't even need to read your "Additional Information" to know that you are spouting anti-military, anti-US government, rhetoric

Thanks for the 2 points.
