I personally agree. But try telling that to private war contractors, the defense industry, wall street traders and investors, and big oil executives. This is one messed up world. And greed appears to be the most popular sin. By far. It is no contest. And that is the sole reason for ALL wars. Even wars that appear to be religious or cultural disputes. Money is behind every war.

I appreciate your view but being a Christian you should already know that war has been fought since the Book of Genesis. It's not up to humans to predict the future but is up to a select few in this world to fight for others who have no rights, no personal views, no anything. Since Cain and Able mankind has not gotten along and I feel as long as there are just two people on this earth there will be disagreements (or wars). Soldiers give you the right, as well as myself, the basic rights of human beings. Without them you, I, and a whole lot of other people on here would have been rounded up long ago and shot! Remember, "There is no greater love than for a man to lay down his life for another". You should know that too. I guess people that I am familiar with who call themselves Christians would rather pick and choose what is mainstream Christian and what suits their voices before recognizing that a whole lot of people, TO INCLUDE CHRISTIANS, gave up their lives, their peaceful life, and believed that they were not just serving their country but humanity and went off to war to guarantee those Christians those rights. Study History 101 and see for yourself. Get out of the U.S.A. and go to one of these other so-called democratic nations anywhere in the world. I bet that you will either understand what I am trying to explain to you and haul*** back to the U.S.A. or get locked up for expressing yourself and your religious views. The grass always looks greener on the other side of the fence but remember...it always takes someone to keep it green. God bless.

Oh yeah, except for that part about eradicating terrorists that are trying to blow up the united states. Just another closed minded person blinded by the media that has no idea what they are talking about...Sure world peace is ideal, but do you think that can happen overnight? Thats pretty nieve of you to say, when there are people overseas fighting for you to be free. We should send useless people like you to Iraq so that you might gain an appreciation for what you have living in this country.

War does has its purposes...like right now it is extrememly sad to say, but it is a good population control. There is also the fact that it gets many into a spirit we might not want to see. If we could go about our lives living in freedom, we would, but freedom isn't free. But I don't think this question was asking that. But sure say it again! Hoo-rah!!

"An unjust peace that permits tranquility at the cost of one's dignity and sovereignty is not worth the blood, sweat, and tears that were spared to keep it. Such a condition is the shackles that make us slaves to the whims of others. True peace, being not only the absence of conflict, but the presence of justice and liberty, can not be granted by the mercy of one's enemies. It is borne of the hardships and sacrifices endured by those willing to fight and die for it. Such a goal is the only cause worthy of so arduous an effort, and the only reward worth so high a price."

some need war for survival and economy, some does not.
war is good for humanity but not good for human. And God hates war. No relegion promotes war, only gog and magog promotes war. the mordern gogs are pronounce George and Pa George, with a family name called Bush. Jesus will return and reunites the world, then before he returns to eternity he will tell the world to embrace to true God's beliefs which is Islam. not to be muslims but to embrace Islam.

you have to stand for something , or your fall for everything!!!. if you let people walk all over you they will, if you don't like this wonderful place better known as the USA, then go live in France, this country was built on war hippie girl. i know your mommy told you to talk you differences out with each other, but as you grow up you will hopefully discover you cant go up to Saddam or jack the ripper and have a nice decent conversation to resolve their sadisticness. seriously though move to France and walk with your peace love and hugs sign and maybe you can make a difference

I so look forward to the day when these scriptures will be fulfilled:

Psalm 46:9 - "He is making wars to cease to the extremity of the earth."

Micah 4:3, 4 - "He will certainly render judgment among many peoples, and set matters straight respecting mighty nations far away. And they will have to beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning shears. They will not lift up sword, nation against nation, neither will they learn war anymore. And they will actually sit, each one under his vine and under his fig tree, and there will be no one making [them] tremble; for the very mouth of Jehovah of armies has spoken it."

It's good for the economy; just ask GENERAL DYNAMICS,' BOEING'S, or RAYTHEON'S employees. It's good for population control; ask an abortionist. It helps to shape future geopolitical policies for a war's winners and losers; it helps to shift resources from one country to another, and it helps to eliminate borders and further cultural assimilation. It also allows despots to move cash from their countries' banks to Swiss bank accounts for "safe keeping."

Need I go on? Open your mind, allow out-of-the-box thinking, and maybe you might get a revelation beyond earth-hugging utopias. And remember: You asked the question!
