My dad's dad (so my Grandpa) was an American soldier in the Vietnam war. He married my grandma (obviously thats how hes my grandpa), but as soon as my dad was born, he had to go back to America. My parents have searched very hard to find my grandpa, with no luck..I was hoping to help. Also, my grandma doesn't remember his name, but remembers what it sort of sounded like...So I was hoping to search based on that.

I am 28, and currently I work as a sanitation worker in my town. Its not the best job but I make a decent salary with chances to transfer later to other departments. My thing is I have always wanted to be a cop, and I believe the military would straighten me out and help make me a better person while getting a chance to fight for my country. I also believe being an MP would help my chances with becoming a cop.

Basically my point is, does signing my name on that paper sound like a smart idea?

I took 20 minute practice ASVAB at my recruiters office. It predicted I would get a 94 on my ASVAB. Should I be satisfied with that? The practice only tested Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, Mathematics Knowledge. I'm good at those subjects, and I should do well on the General Science, but I feel like I'm going to be screwed Electronics Information, Auto & Shop, Mechanical Comprehension, Assembling Objects. I'm good at science you see, but I don't have any background with mechanics. Should I be concerned about this? Will those subjects bring down my overall score? Is there any way I can prepare for those sections? Can I retake the test? Finally, is the test graded against the performace of other people (like the SAT) or is it based against an absolute standard (like a driving test). I know that's a lot of questions but I'm kind of confused right now.

Most of my life I've never thought I would ever join the military. Then about 2 months ago I had a paradigm shift, and now I think there's a good chance I'll do it. However, I know how dangorous impulsive decisions can be, so I want to make sure I really want to do this. My Army recruiter said 2 months is a long time to be thinking about the military, but I think its ridiculously short. He also reccommended I join this summer, but I think thats crazy. At the very least, I'll wait until I talk to all branches of the military, and then I'll have some serious discussions with my uncle and grandfather (both veterans). After that, how long should I wait before making my decision?

According to the news it looks as if the Marines will be charged sometime in the next few weeks. The news states the Marines can be put to death but I don't believe Mr Bush will allow that. Do all of you know the real problem here in this country? Most of the world dislikes what the USA is doing in Iraq. And the Marines killing innocent children sure doesn't help us. Thanks a lot Marines!!

This will go on and on for at least the next two years. The truth is the Troops are shot. It's news for one day. They are buried in four days and then forgotten forever.

It was just stated on CNN the Marines involved will be charged. They could face death or life in prison. I believe Mr Bush will pardon the Marines before he leaves office. What do you think?

As most of you here know I do my best to get young men to join the military to make the war supporters happy. ( Bush happy too ) So everytime I see a "I Support The Troops" Magnet on a car I walk up and say "Thanks for Supporting the troops" then I ask them to send their healthy 6 foot soon to Iraq to fight for Bush. I always get this angry look as if I just ask to borrow a million dollars. Why won't the people who support the war send their sons to fight? I always get answers like " My son is in College, My son has a job, Etc..etc.. The best one from a war supporter is "I support the war as long as my son doesn't have to go ". LOL!!! Once again as they walked away I took the Magnet off the car. After all, they really don't support the war so I now have the magnet so they won't drive around lying to everyone. I tell ya....It was a good day today!!

Where's that Iraq exit strategy?

Why can't Bush let America's Muslim allies (Kuwait; Egypt; Jordan; United Arab Emirates) rebuild Iraq and get our troops home?

It was said that Osama is responsible for 9/11 that claims the lives of over four thousand. Yes we know that. But Osama denied to be the person who mastermind that attack, although it was not accepted at all.

In the real facts, Bush and Blair should be held responsible for the death of hundreds of thousands people in Palestine, Afganistan, and Iraq. Over two hundred thousand lives were lost and are still being lost. Bush said he want to free the people of those countries, but what kind of freedom is this? What is freedom for the dead person. If those people were allowed to continue their lives as usual, it could be better for them. But now they are being killed and saying that they are being freed.

Nobody ever hope to have this kind of freedom. It is not freedom, it is GENOCIDE.

Can you specify the terrorist between the one who killed four thousand and one that killed hundreds of thousands. Who is a real terrorist among these people.
