Carol Anne Gotbaum, who was handcuffed and shackled to a bench, may have accidentally strangled herself Friday.

Gotbaum, who was arrested for disorderly conduct after she was kept off a flight at Sky Harbor International Airport.

Gotbaum's family accuses police of manhandling the New York woman when they arrested her Friday.

My wife watches the cop video shows,sometimes i will watch with her. How exactly is it justifed to charge a person in a police chase with assaulting an officer? I can understand it if the person rams the cop or the cruiser,but in a lot of the cases the cops rammed the car with the cruiser. Also,when a cop hits another cop or cruiser is he charged with assaulting a police officer? seems like there are some strange charges on thoe shows.

one lieut in sheriff dept was reassigned to the police dept same county in california. why would that happen? what rules(bylaws) have to be broken before that happens?

A cop pulled my husband and another car over and told him he was speeding ( which he wasnt I was in the car with him) 81 in a 65. We were really confused and didnt understand why we were pulled over and he said that we were clocked by Airplane radar. First of all he pulled two cars over at once and I was told thats illegal in Ohio and I've never heard of a ticket by airplane but im sure its real since he said so. We saw no Airplanes in the sky which left us even more confused.... So is this Legal in the state of Ohio ???

My girlfriend was cited with a ticket this morning on her way to work. I was wondering what is going to happen to her? The offense was "driving while license suspended or revoked 3rd degree" .. she honestly didnt know that she had some past tickets to pay and that her license was invalid. the listing is RCW 46.20.342.1c - if that helps. Is she going to jail?? :( she has a mandatory court date....

I'm from Minnesota, will the state know about it? I realize that I would be in trouble if I went back to Iowa and got pulled over, but I don't plan on that. If all they did was essentially kick me out of Iowa, they did me a favor!

I also see something about a 'driver license compact', but I don't believe they'd use that just to get my $120

I really have no idea what is going on with the AWOL thing. I called
the army yesterday gave them my social security number, my name, my
address and when they entered me into the computer they said I had no
warrant out for my arrest and asked me if I had my DD214's since it stated on
their record as me being seperated in 2004. But I do not have those

I heard of this in Mountain Home, Idaho and Knoxville, TN. Doesn't this send a message to criminals that it is OK to rob someone at home? The homeowner in Idaho was in a wheelchair, and the home invader got off scott free.

See in our country India if a road accident occurs it is difficult to save a person, if someone comes forward to help the victim he is put to lot of trouble like law questions also the person will not be taken to hospital without other formalities like Police certification. Is there any symbol procedure by which you can come to the rescue of the victim.

OK, now the blood was refrigerated supposedly right after it was taken which was at 12:00am. Where did that blood get stored? I don't know, but the hospital has no record of it being refrigerated in their blood bank. I'm trying to find that out. I'm also gonna retest the blood they say is mine with a blood type, BAC, and DNA results. Any other advice people? What about the DMV hearing that I have to go to? Any advice based on the facts I've told you?

Also I wasn't speeding for real, It would be impossible especially during a rock concert and at 10:40pm when traffic in sunny southern California is crazy, and I'm driving a V6 truck F150.

How long do CHP officers have to pace a person in order to develop that their speeding? Also can they follow you from the concert to the point where they pull you over which was approx 1/3 mile from where I parked.

Help me out please people. I'm a good person who is getting the shaft big time. Only the TRUTH will set me free. Thats all!

If someone is locked away for a crime they committed (which is a fact), but they get an appeal, can their sentence be reduced? In this case there were factors about the case (court-appointed attorney, took the first plea bargain he got) that make me wonder, since he didn't get a 'good' lawyer...
