Harassment is basically pestering someone on a constant basis. Verbal abuse, constant calls on the phone and such. Just being a pain in the butt.
Stalking is where someone becomes totally obsessed with you. They follow you, show up every where you go.. leave unwanted 'gifts' for you at your home, on your car, at work and the likes. Things like this plus dozens of phone calls, text messages and emails a day.
Stalking is basically where someone attaches themselves to you, against your will and makes you feel afraid for your safety.

Flirting is a form of social interaction that indicates a romantic or sexual interest towards another. It may be one-sided or reciprocated (encouraged) with intentions of getting to know that person on a higher level while stalking is an unwanted, obsessive attention by individuals (and sometimes groups of people) to others. Stalking behaviors are related to harassment and intimidation. Many stalkers have pre-existing psychotic disorders. So i think, there's a difference between the 2. =)

Harassment is when a person is constantly badgering a person, usually one that is in authority or another one. Stalking is when a person is infatuated with another person in a sexual manner, especially, when the other person does not want to be bothered. Both of these can damage a person, but stalking can get a person killed.

Stalking is one form of harassment. Not all harassment involves stalking. I think harassment is considered less a danger to the victim than stalking.

Harassing is just someone who is being annoying and can be talked to and the problem can be resolved somehow...A stalker is someone who is really mental and follows you as if you are prey and has the delusion that you belong to them and you are wrong and they are right to the point they eventually take, take, take, take until you can't anymore...or they harm you sexually, murder,or suicide or all 3...stalkers are really...I'll be nice and say,"Are missing a couple screws."
Both Harassing and Stalking can also be done together starts out harassing and ends up with stalking...creepy.

I think:
Harrassment is out of passion, love, ect. Broken heart.
Stalking is from a true desire to cause hurt, pain, or fear in another person. True evil. Instant messages like "I'm going to hide in your garage and kill you," for no particular reason.
Probably most people have either harrassed or been harrassed by someone else. Example the boyfriend/girlfriend who keeps calling because you dumped them and moved on to their best friend.
I guess I can sympathize with the harrasser. But not the true "stalker."

With stalking one doesn't have to engage the person they are stalking in any manner. With harassment one does. With stalking one doesn't have to display threatening behaviour of any kind. With harassment one does.
