I really have no idea what is going on with the AWOL thing. I called
the army yesterday gave them my social security number, my name, my
address and when they entered me into the computer they said I had no
warrant out for my arrest and asked me if I had my DD214's since it stated on
their record as me being seperated in 2004. But I do not have those
papers???

So what is your question? What AWOL thing? Did you leave your unit without authority? Are you in fact AWOL? If you left the Army legally, then they gave you a DD214. If you did not, then they didn't. The Army may have separated you under other than honorable circumstances after you left, if you left to go AWOL. Soooooo, what is your question?

So if you have been discharged why would you have to worry about being AWOL And how do you know you are? You should have been given papers the last day of your enlistment contract if you failed to re-up. You may be able to have them send you a copy of you dd214

All AWOL wants are logged into NCIC so if the police run you it will show up if it is there.

If there was a warrant issued by the military they surely should be able to find it.

The thing is, if it is in the system and you get stopped by the police and it pops up.. you will be arrested and held with out bond. They will then send the MP's to the jail to get you and off you go to Leavenworth.

I would go to your nearest recruiter and ask them for advise.

You were a coward for going AWOL.
You are still a coward because you have posted this question so many times, you must be scared to act on any suggestion.
Regardless of what you do you will die a coward's death.

The DD 214 is as good as gold for you. Try this site and request your copy. If they did not discharge you as a deserter...then don't sweat it.
