Law Enforcement & Police - October 2007

What penalty or fines will I recieve (if court apperance is required), for parking my freinds car in in a parking lot at a mall?
Im am not sure though, that the cop saw us switch seats. My liscense is not suspended or revoked I have just never had one, or even taken my permet test and I am 20.

My husband and I own a sporting goods store. It is a small store and we have only been in business for about 3 months. We are located in Pennsylvania. The other evening I sold two boys two b.b. guns. I carded them and one was 19 the other 18. The cops came in my store the next day and said they were called out to scene (the two boys decided to play "war" at 1 a.m.) and pulled thier guns on these boys. Thank God the cops realized the boys only had b.b. guns! The cops however said that IF they had shot one of those boys my husband and I could be held accountable. how is that possible?!? We carded them. They are of age. Does this sound messed up to anyone else??

Say the martial artist injured an untrained person in a fight. Does the law differentiate between one who is trained and one who is not? Compare that to a fight between two untrained people.

I'm 22 years old and live in Virginia. My former employer states that she filed a police report for items that i stole. I took 100 dollars, some books i was reading and intended to return, and also 2 bread pans i borrowed with intention to return. All of which i have returned to her. I haven't heard from the police at all about this. Was a little over 2 weeks ago. This is my first offense and i apoligized to my former employer. I know that what i did was wrong and feel terrible. I know i can't change what i did, no matter how hard i wish i could. She has also stated that she is missing a pair of jeans (I wear a size 2 she wears at least a 7), a baseball hat (i don't wear hats), and some scrap booking item (which i don't scrap book). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Serious answers only please. Thank you in advance

Describe a typical day in your job.

and if you don't mind, what salary do you make? or at least, what is the average salary for a probation officer?

I know that you can get a job as a probation officer with just a bachelors degree, but are there any other certifications required?

If you are on probation in Lake County and move back to Cuyahoga County do you get a new p.o. ? and also if you need to travel out of state does the approval have to come from the same judge in the orginal probation county or from a diffrent judge in Cuyahoga?

CA (residing ) NJ ( License)

I got a speeding ticket at 97 mph in 65 mph Zone , i understood that its too fast , but i did it now i got a fine of $391.00 . I am ready to pay that fine as i agree that i did mistake so i should pay that , but the court has not given me option to do a class to take the remark out of my license, when i called upon court they said i was driving fast and not eligible for the class and i explained them that its my first traffic offense then the clerk asked me to come to court and request the Judge .

My questions : Will CA state be able to Put Points on My NJ License ?
Once i go to Court , how should i talk to judge so that he will allow me for
class?
please advice me as i had never been in this situation, and very new to court.

i was arrested last new years eve for dwi. i'm pretty sure i passed brthlzr at jail but i never asked because the next day the judge dismissed the case due to contradictory info in the report: officer said i refused to takeblood test, but there was a form that i signed which gave them my consent to take said test. so case was dismissed. 3 months later the d.a. refiled charges and i just found out because a state trooper pulled me over for inspection and told me of the warrant. when i asked why charges were refiled, the d.a. said he thought there was enough evidence to pursue a conviction. he then mentioned the part where i "refused a blood test" and i told him that was why the case was dropped to begin with--because that statement was not true. the only other "evidence" he cited was "poor results on the f.s. test: shaky when on one leg (disregarding that i told the officers my knee was injured). also, the report says i admitted taking vicodin that night, which is a blatant lie

after i got out of school i was late on picking my girlfriend up, i was doing about 90ish because i have a nissan 350z and my buddies and i took out the governor chip out so i can floor it. anyway i got pulled over for speeding but the cop didnt give me a ticket. even let me go since i have a suspended license which i knew about but lied to the cop and said i didnt. anyway what gives with him not giving me a tickets and not taking my car away? PLEASE SOMEONE ENLIGHTEN ME!!!

If A friend of my wife came to our house and left periphanelia there and the cops came looking for her at our house. She had left but the police asked to search. When her friend left my wife found the parephanilia and put it away in the drawer. The police found it and charged both my wife and I for it even though I wasnt present. If my wife admits this to the prosecutor will they drop it against me. My worry is that I have priors (non-drug related) and they will think that she is just taking the fall for me. I am really concerned about this because I have changed my life and am doing good and dont want to go to prison.
