In this world we have violent crime. People who will rape, kill, beat, steal and mess up your and your loved ones life's. The only thing those criminals fear is the men and women who strap on vests and guns everyday, and go after them. When everyone else is running the other way, the men and women of your police department go in and take control of the situation. Are they violent? Yes. Are they aggressive? Of course. They have to be to take control and save life's. Until you do this job its easy to Monday morning quarterback and make snap judgments about decisions in a career that you have no idea about, except what is spoon fed to you on the cover of a newspaper, or a you tube video that only shows a snippet of the truth. With all the negative comments and reactions from the public, I'm surprised cops still go to work in liberal towns like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and anywhere the scumbags from the ACLU support the bad guys. That is what really gets me to scratch my head. If you want to speak about specifics, then post a mature direct question. Your broad sweeping childish comments are a testament to your lack of knowledge. To quote A Few Good Men, "You need me on that wall!, You want me on that wall!"

Why don't we ask the politician who actually tried to stop the tasering of a student who had asked a question & the only crime? that he had committed was using too much time? Or should we ask the homeless lady who was handcuffed then tasered 5 times ? 3 to the temple amd 2 to the jugular until they killed her. As long as there is no accountability for their actions then you can bet there is nothing for them to fear other than being fired. Very few of them will ever be put in the prison. And this goes well beyond just cops. Lawyers, judges, and lawmakers also have this. They all claim to be living up to a higher standard but we are all seeing that this is just like a campaign promise from a politician. Since they work in the legal community maybe we should work to get their sentences doubled when they do screw up. The penal system of today is so screwed up that it needs to be seriously recomputed. I can't say I've ever met anyone who was actually reformed by prison. Maybe putiing the legal system in a place where they are in fear of being put there would bring about a positive change for society as a whole.

Personally Im glad for the Tazers and nightsticks. Very rarely do you hear about people dying from a Tazer. Look at Rodney King, instead of being shot to death, he got a severe beating (did he deserve it? I dont know and thats not the point) but he lived.

It only seems that folks in law enforcement are that way because you're not paying any attention to the behavior of the people that you perceive as being the victims.
