CA (residing ) NJ ( License)

I got a speeding ticket at 97 mph in 65 mph Zone , i understood that its too fast , but i did it now i got a fine of $391.00 . I am ready to pay that fine as i agree that i did mistake so i should pay that , but the court has not given me option to do a class to take the remark out of my license, when i called upon court they said i was driving fast and not eligible for the class and i explained them that its my first traffic offense then the clerk asked me to come to court and request the Judge .

My questions : Will CA state be able to Put Points on My NJ License ?
Once i go to Court , how should i talk to judge so that he will allow me for
class?
please advice me as i had never been in this situation, and very new to court.

The Drivers License Compact requires member states to report tickets received by motorists to the state where the received a license to drive so as to receive points, and get an insurance hike. Also, when a state suspends the license of a driver who is from out-of-state, the state where the motorist received a license to drive will also suspend their license as well. California, and New Jersey are member states. Be very respectful when you talk to the Judge. He already has all the information he needs.

Another problem is that once you have been residing in CA for more than a very short amount of time (certainly less than a month, not sure of the exact number of days), it is illegal to drive in CA without a CA license; driving in CA with a license from NJ is only legal if you live in NJ or just moved to CA.

Even if CA cannot put points on an NJ license, NJ probably can and will put points on the NJ license for the ticket in CA.

If CA suspends your right to drive in CA, you may not be able to renew your NJ license, because most states if your right to drive is suspended in any other states.

By the way, NJ insurance, even with no tickets, is so expensive that insurance for a person with NJ license and a ticket from anywhere is probably so expensive that you will no longer be able to drive.

"My questions : Will CA state be able to Put Points on My NJ License?" - Yes, sort of. They don't point the points on your license, however they will notify NJ of the ticket and they will add the points based on the NJ rules.
"Once i go to Court , how should i talk to judge so that he will allow me for class?" - Since NJ will most likely not accept a CA driving class, it is a mute point. You could pay for the class (price of the ticket I think), take it and still be out the points. Additionally, you can only take the class every so many years so if you get a CA license and then get another ticket you will lose out again.

Pay your fine and take your lumps. You were going 32 miles over the speed limit and you are lucky you didnt get arrested for reckless driving and reckless endangerment. I dont think any judge would give you a break because it was so blatant of a violation.
