Is there anyway to tell if a speed limit sign was posted by the government? How do I know if I see a sign that an individual didn't place it there? I live in SC, should this be placed on public record anywhere? Thanks

i was dating this stuck-up chick for about a week, she broke up with me cause she said i pick my nose in public and pass gas at the dinner table. this is total crap.. i only done that maybe 3-4 times while we were together. i was so mad i got drunk at a party and told everybody i broke up with her cause she gave me the crabs and stuff. her dad heard about it and he is saying that he wants to talk to me man to man as her father and not as a cop, i think he wants to knock me out and stuff. can he do this he has been a cop for 14 years. can i get him into trouble or something...what should i do ? iam not going to apologize to her cause she is a skanky hoe, and he made her so i hate his guts too. i think he should just back off and mind his own buisness, this is between me and her..any ideas ?

Let's say the scenario is that his legal team tries to avert a lengthy and excrutiating court case where all of the details are made public. If their is a plea bargain, what are the legal consequences to such and action. How would this play out for the team, the league and Vick?

Ths afternoon, my sister took her two sons, ages 7 and 8, and her daughter, 1, to the school which is adjacent to her back yard so the boys could play basketball. while they were playing, my sister was chasing the baby as she toddled around. at some point, a middle aged man drove up and started playing basketball with my nephews instead of on the other court. my sister noticed almost immediately that he ws there. as she approached the basketball court she could hear that he was asking them a lot of questions like their names, ages, if they were brothers, etc. he was also calling them by name and complementing their basketball playing. when he saw her approaching, he asked if she was their sister. (trying to flatter her maybe?) she told them it was time to go home and he said something along the lines of "aww, cmon mom let them stay and play". she got his license plate. her husband is away this week and she's not sure if he saw where their house was when they went home.

Are you expected to pull over immediately in the middle of the road...keep going until there's a parking lot...or does it just depend on the situation?

I received an illegal lane change ticket. I went to the arraignment (early) and pleaded "not-guilty", then my court date was set.

I was caught up in traffic on the way there, which cause me to be less than 5 minutes late. The docket was small that day and my case apparently was the first to be called. I asked was there anything I could do, he replied by stating I could file a motion for continuance, but the city viewed it as being over.

A month later at my new court date, I show up very very early this time. When my name is call the judge is pissed. She goes off on me for being late and waisting everyones time. I appologized profusely, addmitting it was a mistake to be 2 minutes late for court, explained that the docket was small that day, but she still was absolute in here decision. She stated that she would not summon the officer and accusing witness back, because I was late.

It just doesn't feel right that being 2 minutes late counts as guilt. Am I wrong?

A friend of mine is absolutely devastated right now because he exposed himself on a digital web cam after receiving MSN 'adds' on a chatline. He claims he did not remember the person ever stating their asl, but when asked to reveal himself on cam, he did so and afterwards was then threatened by a person now claiming to be a 24yo male who was threatening to report him to the police. The person provoked him into doing this on the camera, and without knowing the age of the person, he did it anyways. I feel this is the mistake, but he didn't make the mistake of exposing himself to someone he KNEW was an underaged teen. The person threatening to report to the cops claimed he had already given the 'asl' and stated it was a 14 year old girl, but trust me, I know my friend and he's an idiot for doing what he did, but he'd NEVER fool around with someone he knew wasn't at least 18 years old. What is going to happen?

I moved to Wisconsin from St. Louis last fall. My license expired without my knowledge and I got a summons when pulled over. I have a court date Aug. 8th. The officer said I should plead 'no contest.'
If I plead 'no contest' how can I get the points and fine reduced? It is a $100 fine and 10 points and I havent got a lot of either.
Legal Eagles, how should I handle this?
